Can you bet on elections in Vegas? I didn’t think they laid odds for elections there.

If you hurry, you can still sign in and send up to $500 to the Iowa Electronic Markets: it is a project of the University of Iowa (I *think* the school of business and the political science department). You can think of it as a stock market for the chances of various political happenings, including a market on the US Presidential election (winner take all).

Winning shares are paid out after the election. Right now, you can get a share of Donald Trump to win the White House (which will pay $1.00 if he actually does win), for $0.097. That's less than a dime, so > 10-to-1 payout.

If he loses you lose your the money paid for all your shares.
