LANSING, MI -- Michigan's presidential vote has been true blue since 1992, but Republicans are hoping that Republican nominee Donald Trump can sway that in November.
"I'm on the ground all the time traveling the state and every day I run into voters who are so enthusiastic about Donald Trump, who have never voted Republican, who are changing parties just for him," said Michigan Republican Party Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel.
A polling average from Real Clear Politics shows Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's lead narrowing as the race progresses. In a head-to-head Clinton is leading by an average of 4.6 points. But as recently as late July and early August, polls routinely put her ahead by 10 percent.
And Trump is trying his hardest to narrow that gap even further. He's put a repeated emphasis on Michigan, and makes his fifth visit to Michigan since accepting the nomination on Friday....

She’s saving face because she’s already announced. But she’s toast in Florida. Look at the absentee voting.

I personally thin any state Hillary is polling less than 5 ahead in she will lose.
I had zero confidence the polls are properly modeling or capturing what will be the election turnout.
Time will tell if I am right.
“What makes you think Hitlery is not campaigning in Florida? She was here two days ago.”

Was that Florida trip when she started coughing again, and popped a cough drop?
Someone showed an image here on FR of Hitlery leaving the stage at the end of her spiel, hanging onto the arm of a young Secret Service guy who was wearing a long black trench coat.
Well, MI is more in play than IL. For what that’s worth.
NV should not even be close, but it is a battleground state. The problem with NV is all the California transplants, and the union corruption of SEIU.
Current polling has Mr. Trump virtually tied with Hillary Clinton in Colorado and Nevada - both of which are essential battleground states in the road to the White House. That means its the Trump volunteer effort that will make the difference.
The California Trump campaign is assembling volunteer teams to make phone calls or travel to Nevada or Colorado, and we need your help.
To help by phoning voters from your home, please CLICK HERE to register with Trump Talk. Once you register, an email will be sent to you confirming your email address. Then you can begin working with the system.
To join a Strike Team traveling to Nevada or Colorado, please email CAStrikeTeam@DonaldTrump.com. Were forming teams now, and every volunteer is needed.
We can win, but we need your help between now and election day. By phoning from home or joining a strike team, you can make a direct impact in electing Mr. Trump as the next President of the United States.
Sincerely,
Tim Clark

WOLVERINES!!
and I don’t mean the second class university in the Peoples Republic of Ann Arbor.
Commie RED.
As I’ve said before here, I will not only crawl across Broken Glass to Vote for Trump, I will eat Broken Glass while I’m crawling to the Poll.
I’m saying this living in CA, so it probably won’t make any difference. Doesn’t matter, I’m Voting hell or high water.
I don’t live in California (though I used to; many, many years ago.) I also used to know a Tim Clark.
Billy Jeff is headed to Michigan this week. Not a good sign for Crooked.
I wonder what the internal polls are showing? And how does one go about measuring enthusiasm?
Trump wouldn’t be there if he didn’t have a legit chance to win it.
Plymouth, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Mercury... Saturn in Tennessee.
Romney could not win MI even though it was his childhood home and he had a father who was governor!
Thank you, Donald J. Trump. Imagine that...a not-crooked citizen politician campaigning in Michigan.
WOOOOOHOOOOOO!
For Michigan, all Trump needs to do is highlight her position on guns and TPP. Michigan may have a lot of union Dems but they’re also gun owners and Trumps message on jobs will resonate.
Driving through Ohio I saw plenty of Trump signs, none for Hillary...mostly rural areas, small towns though. It just seems that even independents hate her, as do Bernie fans. Without them, along with some minority votes, I don’t see how she has a chance (outside fraud). Black America is *not* happy with Obama and the DNC replacement is an establishment white person. They assumed the black vote but there’s no way she’ll get it, even if they don’t vote Trump.
Burnout Bernie was down 22% in a late Michigan primary poll v. Broom Hilda Hellary but won the state. Shrill is not liked.
He wasn’t trying to win.
“Id love to see the internal polls for the various swing states right now.”
that’s the thing that almost no one here pays attention to; everyone seems to be buying the enemedia polls as gospel, as if the Trump campaign doesn’t have internal polling.
I’m guessing that Trump being in Michigan means his internal polling is showing that state is in play.
