It was a 1 point race last time and a D+1 sample. Now it’s a 3 point race and a D+4 sample. Amazing how that works. Increase the Dem sample, increase the lead.

I used to watch Fox News all the time, for YEARS. I remember Hannity’s first night on the air. BAD!
Now, I can’t stand it for more than a couple minutes. Last night during Bret Baier’s show they start quoting their Faux News Poll and I couldn’t find my remote fast enough.

Agreed - they’re also the same people who are most influenced by the political ads being run during entertainment programming - and they’ve been reached almost exclusively for 4 months now by Hillary and Hillary alone with a message that Trump is not qualified, lacks the right temperament, is corrupt, dishonest, etc. - an obvious effort to neutralize her own serious problems in those departments. And the polls reflect this has had an impact on at least the general public’s perception of Trump, and he has made little to no attempt to compete with this message being seen by a huge portion of the electorate and probably the only thing that has allowed Hillary to stick around - it’s literally the only thing she has. Otherwise, Hillary would be the one in the low 40s / upper 30s and Trump would be in the middle 40s to lower 50s...not just tied with her in the upper 30s / lower 40s.
Unmotivated voters count just as much as motivated voters if they show up to the polls. The Dems have a turnout operation to get people who don’t really want to bother voting to show up to the polls - bussing, the pass around money, etc.
If you watched predebate they were. It was all about Hillary’s stroke the entire week. They showed trumps rallies and issue events and said trump has this election.
In 2012. Obama was the incumbent which is a huge advantage .
In 2008, I remember all these Dem media pollsters stating we will not use the 2004 final results to project 2008 because Bush was the incumbent.
Yet , in 2016, all the same Dem media pollsters are using the 2012 incumbent race as the basis of there projection because it's gives the results they want to peddle as the non stop 24/7 narrative .
This race will be more like 2000.
In 2008, McCain intentionally threw the election .
It was obvious near the end when Palin complained about the Election staff had given up .
He got to keep all the campaign cash because his own campaign reform laws allowed him to be exempted due to being a long time DC blood sucker. .

This is the real problem with this country and has little to do with either or any one candidate. Our country is quickly becoming an entitlement society, more and more dependent on government to fix problems and bail out the losers, rather than valuing independent initiative and self-sufficiency.
It’s a trend that’s deeper than any one party or platform. Rooted in the depths of a heart that’s given up, surrendered to the state, rather than continue the good fight, and find value in a day’s work, no matter the work or level of income, and secure in the knowledge one’s worth is not defined by one’s social status or job. It’s because people value possession and money more than themselves as a creation of God. That’s where the problem is.
Material success and/or amount of possessions has become more and more the definition of what makes someone valueable. It’s precisely because we are becoming more secularized as a nation that we have this growing sense of dependency on the government, because the attitude is “if I don’t have as much stuff as the next guy, the government will take care of it and ‘level the playing feild’ to make it ‘fair for all’”.
Someone on FR says “pray America wakes” with every post. We should pray for that, pray that people wake from the self-induced coma that materialism has rewarded, and come to know their true desire is for Christ, and nothing of this world. Until then (if it ever happens) we will have increasing disordered desire for the government, and/or the acquisition of wealth, to “solve” everything, every desire, continuing to foster an unhealthy attachment to the state, and the consumerism it perversely sustains, as some utopia in the making. The perfect stage for the anti-Christ to ascend.

When people are home, if they are the producer class (Trump voters) they are busy getting things done. They are not going to do a “quick” survey because it will take up more than the “five minutes.” The answer is to hang up, and get what your were doing, done. Those who do answer will skew the sample.
