Inside Trump's NRSC mtg: source tells me when Sasse intro'd himself, Trump seemed stunned to see him. Singled Sasse out at least 2x in mtg.

Hopefully Trump was wearing metal armor and had Cruz frisked and detected for metal objects.

Donald needs Cruz' delegates or he won't get the nomination.
Regardless of what many Trump supporters (but not delegates, past or present) believe, a number of states pledge their delegates to vote as their state chose and they may only be free to change their vote after the first ballot..
Those pledged delegates are only free to vote for another candidate on the first ballot, if their state's winning candidate ends their race, not suspends and also delegates are permitted to change their votes if the state winner, after ending their candidacy also pledge their support of another candidate (like Huckabee did, when he ended and pledged his delegates to first McCain then Romney.)
That hasn't happened with Cruz and this is what Trump hopes to achieve with his meeting with Ted Cruz.

Trump attends alone and Cruz needs a manager?
It is interesting that he STILL HAS a campaign manager.
He might still be involved in a convention coup?

Hopefully they can patch things up which helps the cause to defeat Hillary.

You do know that comments like that don’t help Trump, they hurt him, right?

I think it would be a good ticket, despite my annoyance at Cruz and his followers. I think they would be good for each other.

Sorry, the earth “revolves” around the sun. It “rotates” on its own axis, once per day.

Dems will defend Hitlary as long as the earth
rotates around the sun and sun rotate around Hitlary.

That would be my worry if he chose him. He has almost rabid followers. Ask a Kennedy/Johnson marriage made in the same way. ( will we ever know the truth of that? )

Just to clarify for those who don’t understand the pros, delegates (as in “super delegates” - elected officials) usually give their vote to a proxy, so their votes are still counted

Knock off the stunts, patch it up, and put aside resentment and keep Hillary out of the White House.

The New Yorker arrived at the meeting with his daughter Ivanka. Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus also attended the meeting. The presumptive nominee reportedly answered questions from lawmakers for roughly 40 minutes.
