One of my expressions as my son was growing up and demanding something. “I’ll think about it”. That generally translated into “not in this lifetime” but avoided an argument in public. ;)
>Agreed. Trump is just throwing Cruz supporters a bone. In other words,
Cruz supporters I need your vote, pleeeze!
There’s not enough Cruz supporters left to matter. Trump’s being gracious in victory. Ted Cruz could learn something from that he wants to run for president again.
I don’t believe he will really consider Cruz for VP. He’s going to want to “good cop / bad cop” congress to push legislation. I really like Cruz. But congress hates him. There’s no room for two “bad cops” in the White House. You’re not going to be able to whip votes by sending over a guy that isn’t even liked by his own party. While Trump is using the bully pulpit and taking the message directly to the American people, he’s going to have a “sausage maker” down on the hill working to win congress over.
He’s going to pick someone that probably won’t make a lot of us happy. I’m guessing Rubio or Kasich. I suppose Gingrich isn’t out of the equation, I’d like it, but it’s a longshot imho.
It’s going to be an insider. And it’s probably going to be a moderate. That’s politics.
We didn't have to buy any schtick, all we had to do was watch Ted for ourselves.
Ted "distorted" facts left and right. He acted like a lawyer-politician. Ted is the one that made the Trump label stick.
Having said that, for both men, it was mostly politics.

Get over it. Cruz lost.
Please stop it with the disingenuous, petty snark.
Don't you want unity and healing?

They are throwing out a lot of names of people who would not be caught dead on the same stage with Trump. I understand that even Rick Scott has taken himself out of the contention. Trumps problem is that he is so far behind in the polls that no one is interested in the job. At least no one who would add anything to his campaign.
That's hilarious, considering the lack of character that Ted Cruz showed during his campaign.
People see what they want to see, I guess...

“Im okay with Cruz as VP for eight years, but I would very much prefer him on the Supreme Court for the next 35 years.”
Concur.
Sounds like you’re describing Lying Ted picking Carly.. Lol. Quite the bump he got there!
Trump isn’t as dumb as Lying Ted, the LOSER in a landslide.
dude give it a rest. I firmly believe in four years Trump will accomplish what he set out to do and turn it over to his VP to take it further. He will be around 74 by then and I think will want to spend the rest of his life with his family.
Hey...I’m just stating the truth! Why would Trump consider Cruz for VP if he is a liar and a NBC? WHY?
You know I think Trump supporters should take a clue from Trump himself and stop referring to “Lyin’ Ted”. You’re not helping your cause by perpetuating the division you’ve caused within the party.
OMG, he lied about Trump's policy positions, if nothing else. The term "Lyin' Ted" actually stuck to Ted pretty well. If Ted hadn't been so Machiavellian, he wouldnt' be as vulnerable to such accusations.
There are plenty of web pages out there which can document the lies of virtually any politician.
There was plenty I heard come directly out of Cruz's mouth myself that would qualify as lies.
At some point, a gross distortion becomes a lie, in most people's books.
Cruz was definitely lyin' his butt off about Trump's policies by the time the end phase rolled around.

You can believe whatever you want. But I'm not aware of anything Trump has said or done, over the course of the campaign or in his business past, that would support that claim. The last president to voluntarily walk away from the office after a single term was Rutherford Hayes.
Much rather have Jeff Sessions, Duncan Hunter jr., or even George Allen...
I agree, and no Rubio.
But Please, ANYONE but Kasich or Rubio, Please!!!
Cruz would LEAP at the opportunity if given it. It would expand his power and save his career.
But you're right, it's not going to happen.
Why would Cruz consider accepting the VP slot from a man he believes to be a pathological liar and narcissist?
You see, it cuts both ways...
Vote Trump
You're dreaming.
Still bitter, I see...
