If trump blows out Indiana will you call for Cruz to suspend his campaigns?

“I don’t necessarily think Trump is conservative, but I think he loves his country and does not want to see her destroyed.”

I am sorry but that makes no sense from a conservative standpoint. Love of country means nothing if it is rooted in a skewed mix of moderate/liberalism and authoritarianism.

How exactly can a moderate at best, but likely a more left ideology help us? That is what we have had since 1992.

Clinton is proud of you, for taking your ball home when you are losing.

Even through the name calling and stupidity that has infected this site I have decided to hang around just so I can be here when two years into Trump’s term and I can watch the “but but but we thought he was conservative...” crowd.

______________________________________________________________

I really don't think there is anyone here who thinks that Donald Trump is conservative.

People do believe however that he is anti-illegal immigrant and that he will really build the wall. People here believe he will build up our military and then he will stop the apology tours that president Obama has been giving since he has been in office.

If I thought that the above reasons were the only things that Donald Trump would do I would still vote for him.

I gave money to Cruz. I think he threw my money away. Donald Trump is by no means the best candidate that we could have come up with but because he may really fix immigration, may really fix the military may really fix the bad deals that our country has made with other countries including the United Nations, he may fix the stupid responses we have had towards about Palestinians and made just really show that Israel is our ally.

On top of all the above I really think he may influence a change in our tax policies. This may be unpopular but I'll say it anyway: the super rich in this country have nothing to do with their money but invest it, then they collect interest without working and without paying taxes at the same rate that you and I pay. That needs to change. The other thing that needs to change is we need to get rid of business tax. Businesses don't pay taxes, they raise their prices and then you and I pay taxes for business. Getting rid of business tax would be the single greatest incentive to bring businesses that are now overseas back to this country where they could make a profit.

Trump may not be conservative, he does however have a record of getting things done.

I was, and like I said I had to hold my nose and vote for the leftover hack every time to beat a greater evil I was told, just like I will this time if I can stomach another time.

Since 1992 I have not been able to vote for the person I wanted to win in the general. On top of that in several primaries my guy was out before I could vote. Don’t blame me.

You might be surprised...Congress hasn’t had to face off with someone who is NOT a “professional politician”...

My guess is that if Trump presents something to help America and the American people and some Congress critters work to stop it, Trump will go on national TV and name names...He’ll tell the American people exactly who is trying to stop the action...

You know as well as anyone that politicians do NOT want their names aired unless it is a pat on the back for something...

He will get nothing done unless Congress is gutted and replaced, which will never happen because local and state elections are entirely different and people 98% of the time keep the incumbent.

So his next move would be to move left and cater to his home party to get something.

You don’t like it, quit electing moderates or leftists under the veil of the populism.

It’s simple. Those who previously lied to me are fired.

They’re fired.

I’m just not interested in supporting their kind anymore.

Now Trump gets a shot. It’s up to him what he does with it. He will either go down in history as a great patriot or he will destroy his own reputation that he has built in his life.

It’s a responsibility that he has asked for, he has said that saving our country is something that he wants to do and something that matters to him, and I believe him.

So I have decided to move in his direction and give him a shot.

I have also decided to move away from professional politicians that claim to be conservatives, but vote for unconstitutional laws and lie their ass off in order to obtain greater power.

I just can’t do it anymore, man.

Ted Cruz claiming to be a conservative means absolutely nothing to me.

nick, at some point you are going to have to come to terms with Trump being the nominee.

Sounds like you are just in love with the word “conservative”...You do not care about actions or the country’s well being or the people’s well being...

You only want to say, “He’s conservative.”...

You know, I think I’ve heard of people drinking that. I remember when it was Lysol(?) they were trying to make it taste worse so the bums wouldn’t drink it.

Yikes.

The laws against illegal aliens are already in place, what has been lacking is a President who would enforce them.

I don’t blame you.

We have all tried to do the right thing over the years, but all that time we were being lied to, and we are still being lied to today.

It’s hard to find the truth in a sea of lies.

Maybe we never will.

Arnold Schwarzenegger totally caved in California. He pitched a better conservative line than Trump on some issues.

We will see. I will more than likely vote for him in the general, but he still has plenty of time to poison me with his VP pick and other stuff. If all he can do is kill off Hillary that is good. However, watch and see how the media turns on him in the face of him v Hillary. He will then find out what frustration is when he cannot control those he thought was his “friends” up to now.

Ted Cruz may have his warts, they all do and Trumps will become evident soon enough, but he is a conservative who was dragged into a name calling contest and failed (which to me is a good thing when you cannot play in the pig pen).
