Why We Must Unify the Republican Party Before the Convention: President Hillary Clinton

These are the scenarios I see for a contested convention. In every case many become disaffected and refuse to vote GOP come November. All scenarios produce the same result: President Hillary Clinton.

1. Ted Cruz, by hook or crook, takes the nomination on the 2nd or later ballot. Trump supporters will bolt the GOP. The result: President Hillary Clinton.
2. John Kasich, by hook or crook, takes the nomination on the 2nd or later ballot. Trump & Cruz supporters bolt the GOP. The Result: President Hillary Clinton.
3. Someone not currently running (say Paul Ryan) takes the nomination on the 2nd or later ballot. Cruz, Kasich, & Trump supporters bolt the GOP. The result: President Hillary Clinton.
4. Trump, by hook or crook, closes the gap of delegates by winning over uncommitted delegates and/or gaining Kaisch's Ohio delegates and wins on the first ballot. Cruz supporters bolt the GOP. The result: President Hillary Clinton.

It is time for cooler heads to step in and unify the party around a single candidate. The numbers say that candidate must be Donald Trump. He is the only one  who can reach 1,237 and allow us to avoid a contested convention.

Unfortunately, there are no cooler heads in the GOP establishment or conservative media. They seem hellbent on a contested convention; hellbent on reproducing the 1964 catastrophe that handed the presidency to a Democrat; hellbent on spawning the calamity of President Hillary Clinton.

The only cooler heads left are Republican voters. We must, in the remaining primaries, vote for Donald Trump in a way that producers landslides (as we saw last Tuesday); landslides that will throw Trump well over the 1,237 mark; landslides that take the option of a contested convention off the table, and leave no doubt that Trump will be the GOP nominee.

This will give everyone in the party time to go through the various stages of grieving; accept that Trump will be the nominee; and get focused on stopping our real enemy--Hillary Clinton--BEFORE the convention. This is the only way to unify the party.

Some in the #NeverTrump faction claim Hillary is the lesser of two evils. My response is this: Hillary Clinton stood next to the casket of an American solider and lied to his parent's face about their son's death. Hillary Clinton is not the lesser of two evils. Hillary Clinton is the evil.

A Hillary Clinton presidency is unacceptable. We, the cooler heads (the voters), must unite the party prior to the convention, so we can focus on defeating Hillary Clinton. The only way to do that is to give Trump large wins in the upcoming primaries--wins so large they stomp flat any remaining prospects of a contested convention.

It's time for the cooler heads to take charge and put an end to the games and bickering, so we can focus on stopping the real threat to our country: Hillary Clinton.

John Kasich or Ted Cruz will either be nominated at the Republican Convention, or, if Donald Trump is nominated instead, John Kasich, as Governor of Ohio, will spend the Convention calling out the Ohio National Guard to protect Clevelanders from the violent organized protests that the George Soros/Black Lives Matter/Bill Ayres psychiatric wing of the Democratic party is planning to unleash if Trump wins the nomination.

You have GOT to be kidding us.

It might also help to stop calling Cruz supporters “idiot Hillary loving Cruzbots who hate America” who “Trump can do it without”.

Amid cries for unity, you are laughing it up about banned cruz supporters. Even in this thread people talk about how their hatred of Ted is so deep they will never vote for him... The zot celebrations and name calling are just two of the reasons why I hope Trump comes up short of 1237.

That, they and you don’t have the decency to honor Jim’s requests on this critical issue no Never Trump posts/replies. Like you hoping Trump comes short of the required delegates at this time.

Read Jim’s replies to the latest Never Trumper banned by Jim. Ignoring his requests on this issue is rude and petty!

The posted list is like a list of arrested drunk drivers printed in a local newspaper. The drunk drivers disobeyed the rules of the road and got arrested.

The ones Jim zotted didn’t listen to him and in spite of warnings from him to stop their Never Trump BS. They continued to spit on him and stab him in his back with their Never Trump bs posting.

Supporting Cruz is a difference of opinion, not driving drunk. You double down on being rude... the Trump supporters don’t just talk presidential election. Show me where Jim said not to vote for Ted for senator again... I can show dozens of Trump posts about not electing Ted as dog catcher. The best way to support Trump would be to put as much effort into the toll posts by Trump supports as into the abusive ones by Cruz supporters. Anything else is just pouring gas on the burning bridge. You might need that bridge later.
