(Trump is anti-conservative / Cruz 2016)
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Yes they would. That's why the Dems want Cruz to win.
Democrat voters are naive about policy. If they can't have Bernie, they'll switch to the Capitalist, proving that they don't vote on ideas.
In this election -> they'll vote for authenticity. Don't fool yourself that it's about Liberal values. Democrats don't really have values - they just think they do. Since they don't, we'll take their votes happily.

Eleanor Clift is almost as horrible a person as Hillary. Her screeching RAT talking points soured me on watching McLaughlin many years ago.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
It’s been ages since I watched the McLaughlin Group. His was one of the few shows that had some diversity of opinion - hence all the shouting. Clift is very leftwing.
For conservatives, this is another endorsement for Cruz.

Clift is a raving liberal. If she is pushing Cruz, people really need to reassess their support for him.

A lot of us have been saying from the beginning that Trump and Sanders are pretty much identical on the issues.

The election, every election, Clift cares about one thing only and that's which Republican will be easiest for the Democrat candidate to defeat.

To cite Reagan - There you go again. Funny how so many "flaming liberals" might vote for Trump where they'd never vote for Cruz and people still try to claim that Cruz has a much better chance to beat Hillary.
Cruz's base started very narrow and has been further attenuated. The only folks eager to vote for him are working off pure idealism without a glance at reality. They will never get their chance - even if he does manage to stop trump - his continuing battle has scarred both but left him really tainted in a lot of his former base's eyes.
