Clift: Cruz ‘Makes Trump Look Like a Raving Liberal,’ ‘Most Dems’ Would Prefer Trump Over Cruz
Breitbart ^ | April 16, 2016 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 04/16/2016 1:25:59 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The Daily Beast’s Eleanor Clift argued that Republican presidential candidate Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) “makes Donald Trump look like a raving liberal” and “most Democrats would look at the two of them, and would prefer Trump over Cruz” on Friday’s “McLaughlin Group.”

Clift said, “We’ve paid so little attention to what Cruz actually stands for, and when — the attention I’ve paid is — I get pretty scared, actually. He makes Donald Trump look like a raving liberal, actually.”

When asked who should we would vote for between the two candidates if she had to pick, Clift responded that she made herself clear, and didn’t have to, or want to repeat her preference.”(continued)

“Clift: Cruz ‘Makes Trump Look Like a Raving Liberal”

Clift clearly want Republicans to vote for Cruz, because Hillary can beat him easily. You don’t think that ultra-liberal Eleanor Clift really supports conservatives, do you?

Donald Trump reminds me of what Catfish Hunter once said about his former teammate, Reggie Jackson: “Reggie really would give you the shirt off his back, but then he’d call a press conference to tell everyone.”

Eleanor said she wouldn’t vote for Trump either.

I read the entire article and the comments.

It’s a shame that Cruz has become nothing more than a saboteur. He is feeding his ego and seeks monetary rewards from his globalist handlers. Cruz is a desperate weasel. And Jim has a way with words that sums it up even better.

Cruz has lost it fair and square and should step aside for the sake of the country. If his continued efforts at thievery split and destroy the party

Cruz lost the primary vote and is now aiding and abetting the enemy (the GOPe)in their treasonous attempt to deny the nomination to the winner.

Cruz is a sore loser turned traitor against the grassroots voters.

And the foolish neophyte thinks the GOPe is going to let him have a shot at the presidency if he helps them block Trump?
Laughable if it wasn’t so serious.

Cutting the top income tax rate to 25% is now “liberal,” too. Who knew Coolidge was a “liberal.”

“On what? Five years ago he was a business man signing 20k paychecks on the FRONT.”

What was his position on abortion and gay marriage 5 years ago?

If we are talking about conservative, Cruz is more of a conservative than Trump. Trump’s message resounds with conservatives because we know what is killing this country and Trump agrees with us.

Unfortunately for Cruz, he walked into an election where abortion and gay marriage is not a front burner issue. Our border and China is. Cruz and Trump may share views on it, but Trump is the one who is out front on those issues. Cruz is talking like a politician.

She was, of course, screeching for the murder of Terri Schiavo. Later, she wrote that she was comforted to know that her dying husband’s nurse was against the murder of Terri Schiavo.

Eleanor’s intellect has gone the way of most pro-aborts’ intellects. Demonic levels of putrefaction.

It doesn’t mention abortion or gay marriage. Forget Trump’s “evolving” position. What was his position 5 years ago?

In case you haven't noticed, those horses have left the barn, and the Supreme Court has ruled.

So the opinions of any President on those issues don't amount to a whole helluva lot.

Having said that, Trump is pro-life, people are allowed to change their minds on such issues, and they do so.

As for gay marriage, there's not much anyone at the federal level (other than the Courts) is going to do about that.

Trump's supposed positions 5 years ago, before he ever entered politics, don't mean jack squat when speaking about the here and now.

Ted Cruz has lost. He will have been mathematically eliminated after the next Tuesday or two. Ted Cruz's only hope is to get the nomination at a contested GOP convention, hopelessly splinter the party, and guarantee a GOP defeat in November.

It's. Not. Going. To. Happen.

Even the corrupt, entrenched GOPe isn't that stupid, to destroy voter enthusiasm, splinter the party, and guarantee a loss in November.

Donald Trump is the GOP nominee, whether he ends up a hundred delegates short or not.

All else is just whimsical fantasy, wishful thinking on the part of Cruz supporters and their GOPe ass-kissing ilk.

20 bucks says Donald Trump gets the 2016 GOP nomination. The GOP convention ends on July 21, 2016, all obligations to be paid by the end of August 2016. Any takers? Send me FReepmail if interested.

Eventually, (former) Cruz supporters are going to have to switch over to the right side of this Revolution, and realize that Ted Cruz has abandoned the anti-Establishment voters in a shameless bid to have the GOPe prop him up. And prop him up they have, but ultimately to no avail...

Look at all the democratic donations. A Republican candidate for President should have zero “blue” dem contributions.

“What was his position on abortion and gay marriage 5 years ago?”

Easy he’s always hated abortion, even when he was pro-choice, he’s been for a partial birth abortion ban since 2000.

Abortions will never be eliminated, even if Roe was overturned and they were made illegal. Like Paul said, the law doesn’t contain the power to live it, and never will.

In Big Business you bribe the politicians you need to in order to conduct business. So for a Business man in Democrat New York to grease the palms of some crooked democrats there is not anything negative on Trump. Reality is that’s that’s how business is done in the such areas.
