The delegate selection process in Colorado turned out to be something of a disaster for the Trump campaign. And according to witnesses, its the way that Trump staffers treat potential delegates and even supporters that could end up costing the businessman in a big way.
Despite new leadership in Paul Manafort, several precincts noted that Trump delegates were left off the ballots. Investigation revealed that those who were left off the ballots had failed to pay the requisite fees, but that was not before Donald Trump took to Twitter to criticize the process:

In order to get a better handle on what actually happened, Independent Journal Review spoke to unpledged Colorado state delegate (and former Colorado congressional candidate) Mark Barrington. He described his experience:
I was elected by the people of my precinct to represent them at the Colorado state assembly.
Since I am uncommitted for our presidential candidate, I felt that I owed to the people of my precinct to try and meet those running for president or their representatives, and to observe their interactions with other delegates.
Cruz was the only candidate who was there, and he made a point of greeting people personally. Both Cruz and Kasichs representative were very friendly and took time to take some photos and greet as many as they could.
But Barringtons experience with Trumps representative at the Colorado State Assembly Senior Policy Advisor Stephen Miller was not quite so positive:
Trumps Rep wasnt so friendly. As he exited the stage quickly, I stopped him to ask him why Trump wasnt there. I pointed out that, as an uncommitted delegate, I had looked forward to meeting him and possibly supporting him going forward.
Miller responded: He recently had a grandchild and is with his family dont you keep up with the news? I have a plane to catch.
I was frustrated that a candidates surrogate would treat potential delegates like we didnt matter.
And it wasnt just me. There were four or five hard-core Trump guys there who were just waiting around to have a picture taken with Miller, and he basically blew them off as well.

Damage control?
Fair enough— blame the Trump team for not playing the insider game of delegate getting ‘rules’. The bigger issue for Co. is not letting each Republican registered in the state a chance at one vote for their candidate.
What in the hell are you talking about?
“Investigation revealed that those who were left off the ballots had failed to pay the requisite fees . . .”
I figured it was something like that.
A US firm overseas that gets "shut out" of a foreign market simply because they did not adapt products or manufacture for a specific overseas targeted segment or otherwise did not do their local homework and otherwise got hosed abroad, will then, knowing of his protectionist bent, rush to hire some K Street lawyers to run like crybabies off to DC to exclaim "Closed Market!" "Unfair Trade!" I've seen no shortage of such whining US firms (while yes, some others have had legitimate cases). Anyway, without proper due diligence he will call on his USTR Trade Ambassador and as usual shoot from the hip and slap a Super 301 action or a tariff on to the "offending" nation (which in such a case will be completely innocent). Of course if we were their government we'd be pissed in response, too, and in no time flat it will be tit-for-tat; we will have counter tariffs or non tariff barriers (NTBs) shutting our firms out. Say hello to one big international peeing contest and cluster f nobody will win.
I do NOT like the way this guy operates. Donald Trump's oafish mindset is rather simplistic in these matters if not dangerous and the 2016 GOP delegate hunt as a great Beta test, intimates it clearly. He is going to be an economic disaster. Take that to the bank (though your dollars will be worthless).
Bw@aaaaahaaaaa. Typical new York reply. Is anyone surprised. Just do a test. Spend 2 hours at a new York airport and 2 hours at one in texas. U will see what I mean.
That’s her profile, chain mail artist
I've never been in New York or Texas airports. I have recently seen SeaTac, San Francisco and Maui. All fun places.
This is my take, on a serious note, that I think you will like:
The Ohio/Wisconsin losses put a huge wake up call on the Trump organization. They thought that Ohio voters would understand Kasich's liberal stand on immigration and other issues. They thought Wisconsin would be a simple effort: The delegates go to the convention. A vote would be taken by the fellow delegates and the delegates get selected. Easy peasy. Right? As you said, "Bw@aaaaahaaaaa."
If one thought they are going to walk into the Colorado State Convention and become a delegate, they must be smoking that Colorado Bud.
The Trump Team miscalculated and had bad timing. The Trump supporters, who attended the GOP Colorado State Convention, needed a strategy in what to do. And, the Cruzers knew how to game the system. What happened was bad timing: The Trump decided to reorganize when Wisconsin was in play, thinking it was a done deal for them.
I have said before, that Trump is getting his leadership team reorganized. Ohio's loss may have been the start of it. All is to counter Cruz's ground game and if the time comes, the Democrats. Paul Manafort, Trump's new convention manager, is just coming on board and Nancy Mace, Trump's South Carolina coalitions director, was brought on board to organize Colorado. James Baker, who was Colorado's campaign director, was just fired by Cory Lewandowski on Saturday. That suggests the Baker was not fit for the job. There is much more behind the scenes reorganization going on in the Trump Team. Word is that Lewandowski may play a lesser role as the team ramps up. I only hope that the Trump Team puts on the new wheels, fuels up and gets back into the race in quick time. This campaign season is going to be a Bl@aaaaaaast!
Say what!? I thought Cruz supporters were evil incarnate just like their leader! Whom we all follow like mindless zombies doing his master Cruz, bless his almighty name, business.
At least that what Trump supporters here tell me.
My mistake: “The Ohio/Wisconsin losses” I meant to say the Ohio/Colorado losses.
