Tsk, tsk.
Donald Trumps effort to reset his campaign following defeat in Wisconsin showed no signs of paying off this weekend, as a series of technical failures by his campaign set his hopes back even further.
From Thursday to Saturday, Trump suffered setbacks in Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, South Carolina and Indiana that raise new doubts about his campaigns preparedness for the long slog of delegate hunting as the GOP race approaches a possible contested convention. He lost the battle on two fronts. Cruz picked up 28 pledged delegates in Colorado. In the other states, rival campaigns were able to place dozens of their own loyalists in delegate spots pledged to Trump on the first ballot. This will matter if Trump fails to win a majority of delegates on the first ballot in Cleveland, as his delegates defect once party rules allow them to choose the candidate they want to nominate.
Trumps campaign mounted a haphazard campaign for delegates in Colorado, where hundreds ran to be at large representatives in Cleveland at the state convention in Colorado Springs. The frontrunners advisers repeatedly instructed supporters to vote for the wrong candidatesdistributing the incorrect delegate numbers to supporters. Cruz, who traveled to address the convention, swept the states 34 delegates on the back of a disciplined organizing effort, that included text message and video displays advertising his preferred slate.
This is a very distressing development, and I think my sentiments can best be summed up in video form.

You are right I dont know who has and who has not been involved. I just know what happened in my district. And conservatives took 18 of 24 delegates. It is a small amount but at least we did more than complain like a bunch of Trump supporters are doing. And truth be told more of that 18 support Trump than Cruz.
But like I said we did some thing more than complain. This whole thing should be looked at as a learning experience for the next election after this. But I doubt it will. It seems as if a lot of Trump supporters will just complain and not vote if Cruz wins. Then next election they will complain again.
Like I said before if you think Trump supporters out number every one else get organized and become delegates and your numbers can write the rules for the next election.
I have several lifelong friends who have served in Congress and had a good friend who was a successful campaign manager. Unless and until people stop with the, "you need to get involved" BS (the system is carefully structured to channel those who want to "be involved" into meaningless slots) and start focusing on tearing the damn machine down while people are aware of and focused on how corrupt it is nothing will happen.
You want to know how to take over a national political party?
Simple, Chicago '68.
That's exactly how all the conservatives were eliminated from the democrat party and the radicals put into the positions that lead to leadership roles and nothing short of the same type huge mob at the convention is going to change the Republican party. Ever.
The way DC sees it, both parties, is if there are no mobs in the streets there's no opposition so the sheep can be screwed still more.
That's my 2 cents worth and no one wants to hear it now any more than they did in 2008 or 2012.
Not sure what your point is but I can say that your guy trump loves the lgbt movement and came out recently and said he had all kinds of great plans to promote it.
nice, eh?
As for the point you pretend to not see, if the people voted in Colorado the people voted when the USSC overturned the will of the States that had outlawed queers marrying one another. Same rigged game, same people doing the rigging, same "Betters" telling We The People that they really have a say in how their "Betters" allow them to live.
BS. It is not incompetence. The GOPe controls most of the delegates. Having been involved in GOP politics for quite some time, going to the national convention as a delegate is a reward to the loyal rank and file. Trump is anti-establishment. There is no way he can change their minds or even the composition of the delegates. This is why he needs to win enough delegates thru the primaries where the GOPe is limited. The GOPe is now coalescing behind Cruz to force a contested convention. It is stop Trump for now.
that’s not what he said at all, liar. gay marriage should be left to the states and that’s what he said.
So you’re trying to spin that it was “elected” people in CO that voted and not free citizens?
Well, I’ll say this for Felito, he is organized. Some might say anal, but then some might say he is oral. I don’t know myself. But he is organized, right down to the FR precinct captain and his lieutenants. The question is, who is paying for it, is it Mitch McConnell’s pro-Cruz PAC, or is it Paul Ryan’s exploratory committee, or maybe Jeb Bush’s Right To Rise. After those NE articles came out, the naming of that PAC became more clear.
So why has he won twice as many states as Cruz, especially the non-caucus states and over 2 million more votes? Pretty good for a guy with no ground game,
Have a lovely day.
All by my lonesome, a few days ago when the same guy, or maybe it was one of the other shills, was just going non-stop with the phony posts and the lying retorts. Suddenly, that song popped into my head.
Not to quibble, but his lead is now less than 200 (743-545) - and that is still with Wyoming and North Dakota to finish picking their delegates.
What’s the source on 743-545?
ND’s remain unbound until the convention.
Which begs the question....
how the hell is he supposed to be able to run the biggest superpower nation in the world....
if he can’t even run a primary campaign correctly, efficiently or successfully?
FR has always been able to function without significant oversight, but I am beginning to believe that if a few people want to post that much of the same drivel over and over and over, they ought to either be required to donate a HUGE sum to the Freepathon or else be limited in the number of articles and posts per day. At some point, it's clear--they're being paid, and their using Jim's board without adequate compensation.
He won't just rubber stamp the GOPe agenda, he'll brag about how clever he is to do so.
Incompetent? Hardly.
Don’t think that it’s Ted Cruz and his brilliant “ground team” that are accomplishing this.
It’s entrenched GOPe party insiders that Trump cannot in any way control. These are the apparatchiks whose loyalty is to the Romney/Bush/Ryan cartel.
They’ll throw away Cruz as soon as he’s served his purpose of sabotaging Trump’s campaign.
LOL. It's spelled right and wrong in the same sentence. I hate when that happens. I blame autocorrect.
No offense....but....
methinks that your crystal ball is cracked.
Shall I go on?
GOPe thinks they are playing a game of chicken with the voters. They think that Hillary is so bad that we will vote for Romney or Ryan or a "fresh face." Well, they guessed wrong this time. They have betrayed the country for the last time.
