Confirmed: Disarray Inside Donald Trump’s Campaign as Ted Cruz Gains Ground
Breitbart ^ | April 6, 2016 | Alex Swoyer

A source close to Donald Trump’s campaign verified Politico’s recent report of “disarray” inside Donald Trump’s campaign. “There’s truth to that,” the veteran political strategist said.

Breitbart News learned that the Trump campaign is struggling to organize and settle the power struggle inside the campaign after new-hire Paul Manafort was brought on to lead the campaign’s delegate strategy.

Manafort met with Trump on Wednesday to discuss strategy.

Also, CNN reported a potential shake-up with Trump’s campaign staff. “Campaign changes could be in the works after the billionaire lost the Wisconsin primary and is facing an uphill climb to clinch the Republican presidential nomination before the convention,” CNN said.

CNN adds that Manafort is embracing a more expanded role, which raises questions about Trump’s current campaign manager Corey Lewandowski’s future leading the campaign.

Lewandowski on Monday pushed back on talk that his role is shrinking and emphasized that new hires are needed as the campaign goes forward. “This is like a small business,” Lewandowski told CNN. “You start off small and there’s a core group of people and then you have some success and the business grows.”

While the disarray brews inside the Trump campaign, the Cruz campaign is focusing on select areas of New York and Pennsylvania...

Breitbart is almost as pro-Trump as Conservative Treehouse and Gateway Pundit. You make me laugh.

This is to be expected.

A loss like Wisconsin and the hiring of someone of Manafort's stature calls for a reorganization and restructuring of the campaign.

The Trump campaign needs to mature and get ready for the convention.

FTA: “disarray” inside Donald Trump’s campaign

I’ve heard that a fish rots from the head. I believe that a political campaign does also.

“While the disarray brews inside the Trump campaign, the Cruz campaign is focusing on select areas of New York and Pennsylvania...”

Makes me think the author is anti-Trump. Not a word about Cruz’s cold reception in NY.

There are four people who have a chance at being president this time next year: Don Trump, Ted Cruz, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. That’s it. I look for articles about those four, especially the two over on this side.

Disarray is the wrong word and an incorrect description.

Mr. Trump is making necessary improvements in his ground game to not only combat Cruz’s underhanded delegate grabs but also to give Cruz an overdose of his own poison.

I think NY will determine EVERYTHING.

Mr. Donald Trump must win and win big ... He needs a YUGE NY VICTORY.

He needs a decisive 55% - 60% WIN with Kasich and Cruz splitting the remaining 40%-45% or even less. Cruz must place 3rd.

IF MR. TRUMP DECIDEDLY WINS NY, he will also win 1237 delegates and more.

I saw the AZ Treasurer tonight on (I think) Hannity’s and he gave me some confidence. He’s a fighter and Cruz is NOT going to steal AZ delegates and this guy sounds like he’s going to be a bigshot at the convention.

Trump has been able to get away without spending nearly the money other campaigns have spent. Its been truly an amazing ride for him however the amount of money that is being spent to take him down is also pretty amazing. From here on out, he is going to have to do things differently to compensate for the amount of money and energy that the never Trump people are willing to invest. As a non politician, I’m sure this has been an eye-opening experience for him especially in Wisconsin. Its going to take a huge amount of time, personnel and money to beat the establishment as they usually always win. Just ask Newt Gingrich.

"I think NY will determine EVERYTHING."

PA too Onyx. PA, OH, & MI are the prizes he can win. He took MI, and will get OH if he can convince Kasich to be a team player. But PA, that has eluded the Republicans for years. He can take all these rust belt states IMHO. I don't see working class guys pulling the lever for she who reminds them of their X-Mother Inlaw.
