Colorado sends 37 delegates to the GOP convention, but will not hold a statewide vote to determine how those delegates are apportioned. The party had planned a straw poll that would have been binding for the delegates, but later canceled the vote. Instead, the party will hold a convention to determine how to apportion its 13 statewide delegates.
This process works ever so much easier when the voting public is left out.
The Colorado State Convention is where the delegates are finally allocated.
37 total delegates - 10 base at-large / 21 re: 7 congressional districts / 3 party / 3 bonus
District Conventions: Friday 8 April 2016
State Convention: Saturday 9 April 2016

By canceling the straw vote, it doesn’t matter who wins them, they are not bound to the candidate in the first ballot, and consist of mostly party people. Coupled with North Dakota, and reportedly Pennsylvania being unbound as well, it is making it difficult for either candidate to win the first ballot.
Isn’t it amazing? And Cruzers support this crap pointing to “rules” then wonder why 50% of the American public doesn’t bother to vote.
It’s exactly these kinds of shenanigans that have people sick of politics, and its’ what in large part has contributed to Trump’s (not Cruz’s) success.
The voters can't be counted on to vote for the right candidate. It's best to leave the choice of the candidate in the hands of our betters.
Absolutely! The elites know what’s best.
Been saying the same and for some reason it is not just sinking in to them.
We told them this crap would happen and now it starts.
No that is untrue. Trump has 755 delegates and can afford to lose 482 more delegates and still achieve Victory.
Cruz can afford to lose around 45 delegates and still win.
Yuge difference. eh!

Your numbers are completely wrong. There are only 808 bound delegates still available. They are including Colorado’s 37 in that number, because they can choose to be bound or unbound. Cruz won 6 today, with the rest voting next week, but it’s not looking good for Trump.
Cruz will also pick up the rest of Wyoming’s 14 delegates.
So, after Wisconsin, there will only be 715 unbound delegates left before NY.
Like 83 people will vote. Cruz always wins that crap.
The Colorada GOP has stolen the election from the conservative republicans of Colorado. The state might as well be blue and someday will die the death of blue states like California. I do so hate the evil of both the rinos and of the democrats of our now communist America. There will be a day coming for justice, Lord willing.
Nice, if Cruz can get most of these CO delegates, then win all 42 WI delegates, and also get those up in ND, he could close the gap with Trump by 80 to 90 delegates going into NY!

Don’t forget, he will also pick up the other 14 of Wyoming’s delegates before NY.
The “convention” were people are overruled by Party Bosses.
Then based on current polls Trump will win all 95 NY delegates. Cruz is losing by a lot and won’t get to 1,237. http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/election-2016/delegate-targets/
Judas Iscariot Cruz will hand the GOPe the Brokered Convention they want, and he will then be flushed like toilet pare. What a guy...
