Cruz is a layer. He knows how to say “I did not cheat on my wife”. He was asked to flatly state that by the Guardian reporter yesterday. He did not.
I watched the video of that. I wish Carlie had shut up and let him answer. You are correct, it was an opportunity lost to either clarify or parse more words.
Cruz will never let the media determine what he will or won’t respond to, or how...he stated this many times throughout his speeches.
Cruz stated clearly these were false smears.....and that’s exactly the right way to answer.
