Ted Cruz is the Republican establishment candidate. That’s absolutely insane.

If I told you at the start of the 2016 race that Mitt Romney would vote for Ted Cruz in the Utah caucuses and that Jeb Bush and Lindsey Graham would endorse the Texas senator's presidential campaign, you would have laughed. Probably loudly.

Cruz was -- and is -- hated by the Republican Party establishment, who view him as a grandstander with little interest in any of the niceties of politics. Cruz is the guy who doesn't play well with others, and whom others dislike -- a lot -- for that unwillingness to go along to get along.

And yet, here we are. All of those things have come to pass with Bush's endorsement -- he called Cruz a "consistent, principled conservative" in a Facebook post Wednesday morning -- the latest domino to fall. What is now beyond dispute is that Ted Cruz, the most hated man in Washington Republican circles, is the establishment GOP candidate in the presidential race. As Cruz put it this morning in an appearance on CNN: "If you think about it, in the last 10 days we've been endorsed by Jeb Bush, Mitt Romney, Mike Lee and Mark Levin. I mean, you want to talk about a broad coalition [that is] ideologically diverse? That covers the entire spectrum of the Republican Party."(continued)

Yeah, that’s bullshit. Cruz definitely has a chance to win, which is why Trump and his loyal sycophants are doubling down on their hate/bash Cruz attacks as Cruz’s poll numbers and chances increase.

Luz has a better chance of getting hit in drone strike than getting 85% of the rest of the available delegates. He will win none of the NE states that are coming up and WI is a tossup. Where do you think Dirty Teddy is going to get more than a few delegates between now and the convention?

In a couple of weeks when he has passed the point of no return Trump and others will start calling for Teddy to drop out of the race. If he continues to stay in after all hope is lost all that will happen is he will foster a lot of ill will toward himself. He will soon be back in the Senate unless he is smart enough to negotiate himself into Scalia’s spot on the court.

Methinks that your crystal ball is cracked (among other things). Polls say Cruz is gaining on Trump now.

38% to 23% isn’t too optimistic when you can’t even break out of the low 20’s. Not much of a surge.
