I just watched Cruz on Megyn Kelly. It was actually quite sad. Even after Tuesdays stunning defeat which left him with no realistic chance of getting to 1237 delegates, he was still sticking with he same argument that the majority of Republicans had voted against Trump.
Kelly who pretty much everyone knows cannot stand Trump was trying to be supportive. But she looked like a mother trying to tell her kid that his “participant ribbon” meant that he was “special”. My wife chimed in and said that obviously Cruz came from a younger generation than us where everyone is told they are a winner no matter how badly they have lost.
I guess that is what we have to do these days... but for how long? How long are we going to have to keep pretending that Cruz has a realistic chance of getting the nomination and that he still could be elected president? The longer Ted keeps up this charade the more damage he is doing to his future career in politics.
Trump has a Master's from Hard Knocks (competing in the real world in New York).
