LOL!!! You really have NO idea what is about to happen.
I have not said it is a ‘runaway’ for Trump (I’ll not use your caustic capitalization epithet). I said that the poll errors supposedly indicating some sort of “surge” for Cruz aren’t. If anything, bad polls.
Still, as things go right now, I don’t see Cruz closing the delegate gap with Trump. Facts like that are not ‘fantasy’. And when they can’t be refuted on the face of it, creating hopeful mirages and contortions to make things ‘seem’ better doesn’t affect the bottom line.
From my experience and posts here, I’ve never called Cruz the things I see TDSers say about Trump here. The worst I’ve ever said about Cruz is that his embracing of Beck’s endorsement was ill considered (stupid).
Finally, the “nasty lil trolls” I see here are avid Cruz supporters. So much so that late in 2015 I changed my pick from Cruz to Trump solely because of that enmity. I just didn’t want to be part of it any more.
1 yr old tomorrow so I am in a great mood.
Hope no one ruins it......
One for four—Helluva surge, there.
Seriously?
As it should be. Why on Earth would we want Democrats selecting our candidate? You know they would vote for the weakest candidate. We used to call this "pinging" back when I was a Democrat. We did it all the time at the local level.
you have a point, i concede, but i respectfully disagree.
With Cruz bringing on the Bush family and parroting Romney’s failed speech points, this seems to be entirely reasonable. Cruz is establishment.
Good for you!
Sarcasm understood. Cruz is doing better than expected but too big a hill to climb. Plus,Rubio who did not get a delegate, is staying in for the GOPe contested convention. Cruz is squeezed in the middle.
When it gets down to relying for Republican votes in the General, they will not be there.

The base turned out in record numbers for Romney in 2012 - or more accurately, in record numbers against Obama.
The base will turn out just as much against Hillary (or whoever) in 2016. The base votes!
“It’s just a flesh wound.”
Yes
Last Idaho poll in March had Cruz at 17%
Cruz won with 45%
Polls are used to influence voters, The left is trying to push Trump because they know he has no core values and they can beat him in general, plus get what they want out of him
Lol!
All the news thats sh!t to print reports that Trump eked out victories in only 3 of 4 contests which saw an impressive surge by “ Your social security is gonna be cut and you’ll deal with it” Kasich
Meanwhile Jeb Bush got over 2,000 votes showing continued slow but steady gains
Ted Cruz’s crumb did not deter the Mormon vote in Idaho, bolstered by the robo calls from the Wilard for President fan club headquartered in Salt Lake City.
Marco Rubio celebrated his 4 th place finishes at a foam party with his “ Marco for Governor of the Sunshine State” backup band of brothers, Could an even higher stacked heel boot now become part of the Marco brand?
On the blue side, Hillary felt the Bern in Michigan and has already initiated the process of ordering IRS audits of every Michigander the day she takes office. Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm joined the sisterhood of the traveling panderers Hillary and Huma for some late night falafels and strategizing on talking points resurrecting the vast right wing conspiracy and FOX News as enemies # 1 and 2 in the War on Wymyn
John Kasich the “ Mr Kruger” of the GOPe celebrated his smashing 2d 3rd or 4th place victory by coordinating bookings with every talk show to strategize on brokering the GOP convention by nominating a happy calm guy who just might incorporate a skittles -crapping unicorn into his campaign logo
Until the next round- that’s it from “ All the news sh!t to print”
So you actually think Trump can win states like California, New York, Massachusetts or New Jersey in the general election?
Can Cruz win a swing state like Florida?
Latest poll via CNN: Trump 40%, Rubio’s 24%, Cruz 19%, Kasich 5%
http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/09/politics/trump-clinton-lead-florida-ohio/
That’s the primary, not the general. Apples and oranges.
Watching cable news this morning, see no one pushing Trump.
Fox, on the other hand, is promoting Cruz, going so far as to say Cruz had a big night, really impressed by Idaho. No mention or credit given to Romney.
FWIW, the last poll I saw of Idaho was a local news station showing Trump +11.
And with just one state next week, Trump can double that 99. Any other wins Tuesday night will be gravy.
If Hillary and Trump are the nominees and if neither support an attempt to repeal Roe vs. Wade, who do you vote for and why?
Hi Gaffer,
I’m curious about a comment at another website, and would like to get your thoughts (and anyone else’s) on the answer.
At the convention in Cleveland, do the delegates pledged to Rubio, Carson, Kasich, and any others.not qualifying to be in nomination under Rule 40, get a vote in the first round? Are they restricted to vote as abstentions? If so, does the majority of those voting (perhaps not 1237) receive the nomination? Does the pre-convention run-up focus on attracting the “orphan” delegates?
Thinking minds would want to know?
Frankly, I don’t see Rubio delegates being able to forgive the harsh treatment of Trump. But, I suppose that politics makes strange bedfellows.
