Less than a month before the state's presidential primary, Republican front-runner Donald Trump appears to be losing steam in Oklahoma, according to a poll released Tuesday.
Trump continues to lead an eight-candidate Republican field, with 30 percent of Oklahoma GOP voters reporting that they planned to vote for the New York billionaire, down from 35 percent in a poll released Jan. 23.
"Early on, Trump's been able to channel the anger and frustration felt among Republicans toward President Obama, but anger and frustration can only take you so far in a presidential race," said Bill Shapard, founder of SoonerPoll, an Oklahoma City-based firm that conducted the poll.
Meanwhile, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz held steady at 25 percent while Florida Sen. Marco Rubio surged, rising from 10 percent in late January to 21 percent this week....

Isn’t Inhofe for Rubio? People in OK probably don’t know Rubio supports amnesty, as it is a strongly anti-amnesty state. I will be hard to educate the Sooners.

Close race, but disappointed to see the article did not link to the actual poll. Sometimes I like to see sections like head to head vs Hildabeast and often sections like how if it was just Cruz and Trump who they would vote for.

I think that Trump will win OK. The poll was taken before NH and the variance is within the MoE. Meanwhile, I think Rubio will finish 2nd in SC. Cruz is up against some headwinds. We shall see.
Well, thank God Trump is ahead by double Cruz’s numbers in South Carolina, that makes up for this crushing news.
Not going to matter. After Trump wins SC this thing will be just about over.

So it was mostly after the debate- I’m surprised Rubio didn’t suffer more from his performance. It wasn’t awful but it wasn’t something that would draw support.

Poppycock! I live in the great state of Oklahoma, and rest assured, Trump is the man. I don’t know where that poll was conducted, but “it ain’t from around here”. Folks around here are counting the days until Trump is elected and we can start drilling again.
I have seen one Bernie sticker on a Prius, (our liberals are a small minority and closely supervised) but no Rube stickers.

Not this one. And yes, Inhofe endorsed Dondi so that doesn’t help. I’m not sure how much stock I put in this poll... although I do know people who don’t like Trumps profanity, etc.
