Looks to me like Fox purposely baited him to leave. This has nothing to do with ratings. It’s a pissing match now and Fox called Trump’s hand.

I doubt very seriously Trump can show up at the debate now.

I don’t think Fox cares. Relevance means more than ratings on any given single night.

Scenario 1: Trump is playing 3D chess and inhaling all the oxygen.

Scenario 2: Iowa voters are turned off by the antics.

To early to tell how this will play out, but I don’t believe this latest manuver was Trump’s initiative.

Fox clearly intends for Trump to play the hand he was threatening.

Yes, at the press conference Trump said he was in, going to do the debate, until this comment came out. Ticked him off.

Supposedly Ailes tried calling Trump directly. He refused the call. Then Hannity tried as mediator. Denied. Said he’d only talk with Murdoch himself.

Meanwhile, Trump owns all headlines tomorrow...

Fox clearly intends for Trump to play the hand he was threatening.

Which explains the leaks that Roger Ailes has desperately been trying to reach Donald Trump, but he won't take his calls???

I bet CNN is salivating at the chance of hosting Trump's event, and sucking all the air and ratings out of Fox's debate.

Furthermore, if Trump wins the nomination, do you think for one minute he's going to allow the RNC to enter any debate negotiation with the Dimocrats that includes Fox News as a host?

No. Bravado aside, this is a big time loss for Fox News.

A good analysis.

I think djt pulled one to many “I am the show.. and you are all stupid moves” on a man with more money and less to fear from him than trump thinks

The echo chamber effect makes supporters of candidate hear what they want on FR but out in the rest of the world its a fine line from Strong to bully I think Fox just decided not to be bullied.. now we see if Trump is as strong as he thinks
