Either these journalists did not watch the same debate that we watched, or they have an agenda.

The media has an agenda alright. It's to get a liberal elected to the WH.

If Trump wins the primary and loses the election it will be the best of all worlds for the media....Many many years of stories without having to put up with a President Trump

Senator Ted Cruz was the clear winner in last night's Republican debate ...You would not know this from most of the media coverage today

The media is just fawning all over Trump and denigrating Cruz. It is so sickening to watch. /s/

Cruz victory? Did you see Donald spank Ted for three full minutes about the new york thing where Ted was smiling like he just ate something bad and when he was reduced to clapping for Trump’s point?

I’ve noticed that most people... including those who should know better....
See what they want to see, rather than what actually happened, in these debates.

Cruz was kicking ass from the very first moment, through his shredding of Trump over the birther issue.

And then it all dissolved away. His snarky blast of "New York values" clumsily set up Trump for the kill, and it left Cruz looking defeated and speechless. After that, Rubio landed a major attack on Cruz, and Ted meekly responded "at least half of what Marco said isn't true." Huh? Does that mean the other half was? After the Trump smackdown, Cruz seemed off his game the rest of the debate.

You know what’s funny? The Dems are just sitting back and waiting for this to play out. They still have just two candidates in their bullpen.

Trump was handed the debate win, because Trump won the debate.

the media must have made up this non partisan GRAVIS poll result of 1,693 registered GOP voters who watched the debate.. 41% Trump.. 26% Cruz

http://www.oann.com/gopdebate/

that’s a blow out no matter where you come from

IMHO Cruz puts a lot of debate tv viewers off when he constantly tries to school his opponents with drawn out pre planned sarcastic quips that he tries to make the audience laugh at(which backfired on him at least twice in a big way Thursday night).. also his voice when trying to lecture the audience is like listening to fingernails on a chalkboard

Rubio twisted Cruz out like a cigarette butt on the sidewalk. But I still think Cruz came in a high second place.

Depends on what resonates - most think half with their brains and half with their feelings. Those that stay with their brains see Cruz as the smartest and most logical. Those that engage the other half feel more attuned with Trump.

Gotta adapt the message for the audience - something Reagan did very very well and something that trump seems to have a better grasp on.

Silliness.

Both Trump and Cruz did well, both made some incredibly good points, and both ate some humble pie.

I'm sorry, all the pretend nonsense that one of them won and one of them lost is stupid.

I read the Drudge poll, and a few others and this article is the worst kind of agitprop. Pretending something happened that didn't is the worst kind of delusion.

Blah blah.

Cruz opened a whole new front against The Donald, and it will take exactly 2.5 weeks to see how that worked out.

Everything else is premature speculation.

I am a Trump supporter but I am worried that Cruz is winning the NY values argument, and is, in fact, playing it very well, and that Trump, instead of reminding people of what the Trump candidacy is all about and just ignoring the NY values BS, is allowing Cruz to sidetrack Trump into defending NY.
At first I thought Cruz was making a rookie mistake. Now I think that Cruz made a deft move. I hope that it is not enough to alter the dynamics of the race, and if Trump did what I suggest, stay focused on what his campaign is about, it would not alter the dynamics of the race. But I am worried at the moment that Trump has fallen into a trap laid by Cruz and does not yet even realize it.

Overall, I believe Trump won the debate and the reason is what is being less discussed than the Cruz dust-ups:

His answer to the Nikki question.

He owned his anger. That was masterful.

THAT is what Trump should focus on, not the NY values BS which Cruz is using as a distraction.

If Trump stays focused on TRUMP and not on the lesser candidates, like Cruz, Trump will win hands down across the nation.

Build the wall.

Tell the truth about Islam.

Tell the truth about PC in general.

2nd Amendment rights

Revive the economy.

The rest is Cruz/media BS.

Personally, I thought The Donald was brilliant ! I felt like the viewers won because Trump brought to light the natural born situation that needs to be settled, most of us not even aware Cruz had a Canadian citizenship issue, before the General Election.
