Great post Cripp, very well done!
he’s been pretty consistent with saying it’s a state issue.
Is marriage mentioned in the constitution?
I don’t think so. i’m embarrassed to say i’m not 100 percent sure.
but like he said on the tonight show, if something’s not mentioned in there, then send it to the states.
he’s right
and if marriage was once supported as a good thing for the community, nowadays the benefits you get from having one out of wedlock seem to have changed that notion for the worse.
Such a GOOD post. Thank you.
Marriage is no longer a question for the states. The Supreme Court ruled on it. It has been accepted, certainly by Cruz, when he answered “No”.
Unfortunately for the Huckster, Cruz is right.
It is a state by state issue.
In NY the legislature voted to legalize sodomite marriage. While I profoundly disagree with that legislation, it is within the scope and purview of the legislature who then had to face the voters after enacting for it. (NY does not have public referendum provisions)
I have zero respect for these unelected judges pronouncing from on high that I will be forced to bow to their dictates regarding sodomite marriage.
