Well, that is pretty BIG, IMHO.
Excellent! Further bolsters Ted’s conservative credentials...
Ping
Steve is a tremendous leader in the House and one of the few truly principled men and women in Washington”
Hmmmmm....to Cruz campaign, proofreading is good....technically, this would only apply to an endorsement from Bruce/Caitlyn.....lol
.
Ted Cruz just won the 2016 Iowa Caucus with this endorsement ... plus his already “impressive” Iowa ground campaign ...
What will be Yeb Bush’s response ?
What will be Donald Trumps’s response ?

I suspect that the newly released Cruz immigration position paper was the price of the endorsement. Cruz has had a Trumpihany when it comes to immigration.
Hi-de-ho, Hi de-hi,
Gonna get me a piece of the sky.
Gonna get me some of that ol’ sweet roll,
Singing hi-de-hi-de-hi-de-hi-de- hoooooooooooooo!
Excellent and not surprising. Cruz is the conservative in the race.
That brings over a few fence sitters.
Good.
2016 Caucus Nov. 13th 2015
As a freshman Senator with no signature legislation to boast about on the campaign trail, Texas Senator Ted Cruz instead makes his case to voters by telling them whatâs important is to see where the candidates âstood up and fight.â
Fighting is the one thing on which Cruz has actually has accumulated quite a record. Whether itâs fighting Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell or fighting to shut down the government to repeal Obamacare, if Cruz is anything, he is a fighter.
Now, one of Cruzâs colleagues in the U.S. Senate who also happens to be seeking the Republican nomination for president, Marco Rubio, is highlighting another area where Cruz has stood up and fought â for immigration reform that some conservative might describe as amnesty.
When asked about a recent critique that Cruz made of the âGang of Eightâ bill that Rubio had once backed, the Florida Senator responded, âTed is a supporter of legalizing people that are in this country illegally. In fact, when the Senate bill was proposed, he proposed legalizing people that were here illegally. He proposed giving them work permits. Heâs also supported massive expansion of green cards,â he said, following an event in South Carolina on Thursday afternoon.
The following is footage of Cruz in the U.S. Senate advocating for legal status for the 11 million immigrants who are in the country illegally, doubling the amount of legal immigration into the county, and expanding temporary work visas by 500%. While Cruz is clear in the meeting that he doesnât support granting citizenship to those in the country legally, many conservatives who oppose immigration reform would call what Cruz is proposing a form of amnesty.
The argument that Rubio is making against Cruz is nothing new. In fact, itâs an issue Rick Santorum has been trying to raise for weeks. On Thursday, the Santorum campaign issued a hard-hitting press release taking Cruz to task on the immigration issue. âRepublican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has positioned himself as the âcourageous conservativeâ in the 2016 race who is ready to take on the Washington cartel.â The only problem with according to Santorum is that, âCruz is part of the âWashington Cartelâ that wants to hurt American workers by providing amnesty to illegal immigrants.â
Bringing up Cruzâs history on immigration reform was a brilliant move by Rubio. The Rubio campaign knows that the conservative candidates in the field are going to try to tar and feather him on this issue, so instead of fighting it, he essentially just said, hey, Ted Cruz has the same position on immigration that I do. And Rubio is correct.
This issue will cause Cruz some heartburn in Iowa. The timing also couldnât be any worse. Now is the time Cruz is putting the full court press on conservative leaders from Iowa like Bob Vander Plaats and Steve King to endorse his candidacy. King is a hardliner on immigration, and he would surely have issues with what Cruz was advocating a couple years ago. In a Tweet on Thursday night, King described amnesty as, âAny reduced penalty not provided by current law is amnesty whether itâs a million dollar fine or a dollar.â
Cruz is also facing competition from Donald Trump who has adopted a hardline position on the issue.
While I like Cruz and would vote for him. The truth is Cruz can’t win cross-over votes, and would be labeled a Right-Wing/Tea Party extremist over-n-over-n-over and middle America will either stay home or vote for Hillary.
Cruz, also, will not fight back against all the BS that will be thrown at him (dems & Repubs) because he’s beholden to donors who would stop financial support if Cruz doesn’t do what they say. We are now witnessing the kind of vitriol being directed at Trump that Cruz would face, only worse, but Trump fight’s back like none of the rest can
Nice! At the very least this campaign has raised Ted to the top of the Republican party, whether the Establishment wants to acknowledge him or not.
Thanks for posting this, CC. It’s really good news.
In other headlines, Cruz ate a bagel and some Trumpster raved that he wouldn’t have had breakfast if Trump hadn’t provided it, LOL.
