The MSM never reports this story in understandable terms. We normally take in 75,000 - 85,000 refugees each year from around the world. Most of these Syrians should be in addition to that annual number, I think.
But, it's not clear to me whether all these big numbers thrown around include the normal 75 - 85,000 in the totals discussed. I think they do, if so, these big numbers would include the normal annual refugee total plus the Syrians. So, not 200,000 Syrians.
But most in the MSM are too stupid to report those numbers in understandable terms, so it's not really clear what the numbers mean.
