This poll is being reset and posted again after fixing a minor technical glitch.

I am the official pollster of this forum and this is my second survey. Please vote and make your voice heard.

Today's question is: Which candidate do you prefer to be President of the United States?

Please explain why after you vote. Thank you

Trump is the best candidate we’ve had since Reagan
Reagan got votes from both sides. Trump will also get votes from left, right and independent. Cruz will only get Republican votes. You cannot win with just Republican votes.

Cruz. Sure, he has gay clown face, but at least he’s a genuine conservative.

I bet there are a whole lot of people here who like Trump but won’t admit it

I'm not one of them...Trump gets my vote...No muzlim refugees...No illegal aliens...Jobs back to America...Affordable insurance...Save social security and disability...Take care of our veterans...Strong military...He has his finger on the pulse of America...

What other choice could there be???

At this point I really don’t see one.

Cruz and Carson seem okay but I don’t trust them.

Fiorina is my choice and Rubio would be my second choice. Trump is unelectable as is Cruz. Bush would be OK but seems to be losing support. Kasich and Christi are two other possibles. The rest can pack their bags and go home.

I won’t attempt to argue the point about Fiorina as I have read all the negatives and it would also be pointless. So please don’t bother as I will not respond.

True...There aren't enough Republicans...They're outnumbered...And a lot of them would probably vote for Hillary or Bernie before they vote for Cruz...

I agree...Cruz seems to muddy the water a bit when it comes to the invasion by illegals and terrorist refugees...And that unfair trade agreement with Europe...

As I see it, the only way we can get rid of some of the National debt is to get some of those 94,000,000 who gave up looking back to work...Cruz seems to distance himself from that issue...

You didn't bother to mention why you would vote for those people...Perhaps you haven't found a reason yet...

“Trump is the best candidate we’ve had since Reagan
Reagan got votes from both sides. Trump will also get votes from left, right and independent. Cruz will only get Republican votes. You cannot win with just Republican votes.”

Ignorance like this should stop people like you from voting in serious elections.

Did you ever stop to think HOW Reagan got votes from BOTH sides? Did You? Of course not, your mind is too easily manipulative to cult characters such as the Chump.

Either that, or your just a flat out coward.

Cruz gets votes from both sides the way Reagan would. By communicating an effective conservative message that offers a clear contrast to the other side that not only communicates to the general public that conservative practices and principles are the way to recovery, but by establishing a link of TRUST between the candidate and the voters.

Trump is not Reagan and your pathetic attempts to attribute him to Reagan’s likeness is sickening. Reagan didn’t go around bitching about how poorly he had been treated by the media, bragging about how high he was doing in the polls and about himself in general, nor did Reagn spew a bunch of talking points just to rile up the voter base over issues he really didn’t care about.

Reagan put the AMERICAN first. Reagan was SINCERE in his stands. Reagan was a brilliant COMMUNICATOR that made liberals rethink their way, or at the very least TRUST him even though his ideology may have been different from theirs. Reagan was POSITIVE in a demoralizing time. Reagan was HUMBLE while at the same time projecting strong LEADERSHIP skills.

Comparing Cruz and Trump to the qualities of Reagan, anybody that thinks Trump is closer to Reagan than Cruz on the qualities I just described is high.

Trump is about Trump. A narcissist, power hungry, egomaniac that is only about Trump and getting more power with the emotional maturity of a 10 year old. Sadly, many of his voters appear to have similiarities in emotional maturity which is probably why they like him.

The closest parallel that I remember to the current Trump phenomenon is not the support that Reagan received, but that of high school girls throwing their panties on stage at Beatles concerts.

Caught up in the moment, most of them were somewhat embarrassed later.

I agree with Cripplecreek. Cruz does what he says he will, and he’s got a solid, proven conservative track record.

Yeah Cruz is my first choice and Carson is my second choice. Carson drew 3000 people in Spring Arbor Michigan last night. That’s more than the entire population of the town.

Barring one or both of them the democrats will win anyway.
