Why not?

GOP voters do it all the time knowingly.

We don’t know that Trump is “anti-Constitutional”. What we know is that the GOP is, so I am not supporting them anymore, none of them, none of their candidates, nothing, done with them.

They are complete and total failures, liars and traitors.

They are the reason that Donald Trump exists.

Oopsie.

(even if it is not as pressing right now) is not a Candy Crowley-style “when did you stop beating your wife” question. That’s absurd.

LOL....reread your own post, you contradict your self.

I bet you like Stephanopoulos's style too.

A conservative president needs to pick his fights. Affirmative Action is not one that we’re going to win.

It's this defeatist attitude that hands victory after victory to the Left. There are probably as many people who oppose affirmative action as those who oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants, abortion, or homosexual marriage. So by what logic is repealing affirmative action not a cause worth fighting?

Let me ask you this - gun rights has not exactly been a pressing issue during this election cycle so far. If Trump was asked about, say, a national gun registry, and said he would be “ok with it,” would that be ok with you?

Affirmative Action is the status quo. National gun registry is not. That said, if Trump said "I will make gun control the centerpiece of my administration", then yes I would have an issue with that. But I doubt he will.

By doing it.

"This folks is not the stuff of serious contenders for the conservative republican mantle.

There is a mantle that has no actual meaning at all.

There are probably as many people who oppose affirmative action as those who oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants, abortion, or homosexual marriage. It is not a cause worth fighting for IN THIS ELECTION CYCLE.

All I really care about is whether Trump looks like he will carry through on his objective of getting rid of illegal immigrants. If he accomplishes that in his term, and accomplishes nothing else, I will be happy. If he doesn't accomplish that, then I will be unhappy no matter what else he does.

Trump has identified and articulated the most important issue facing conservatives.

I may make many people here upset by saying this, but the most important issue facing the US today is not Affirmative Action. Nor is it gay marriage. Nor is it even abortion.

The most important issue is the PERMANENT demographic electoral changes which continued immigration will impose. Every year which passes, we get millions of new Democrat voters. If this is not reversed, by 2024, no conservative will ever win a national election again.

At the point where demographics makes the Left electorally secure, you will REALLY see changes. You will see age of consent lowered so that your sons may be preyed upon by gays, and if YOU try to interfere, YOU will be locked up. You will see minority gangs rule your suburban neighborhoods, transplanted there by Section 8. You will see your Christian churches shut down and all the property seized if they commit the "hate crime" of preaching ANYTHING which goes against the Left's agenda.

Unless we deal with illegal immigration, we will all lose, and lose for all time.

The Republi-can’t party’s whines are deafening

Pshaw. No one cares about the logistics.

Affirmative action?! Have you seen a college application? Perished the availability of scholarships for white high school students?

The whole culture is being attacked. That started in full force in 1992 when the clintons took it over from the bushes and the GOP who tried their best to keep Reagan out

Affirmative action is of the same parent as illegal immigration which is primary concern now as that 11 million number is as old as dad’s jokes

Abortion is the result of birth control. That’s a fact of natural law. The destruction of the family and the gender confusion are all products of wide acceptance of birth control

No one not even catholic clergy is running on that.

It’s not Trump. It’s those who want some American to get in there and do something in defense of the nation. Get a clue or be clueless

How does one identify, locate, detain (where and how?) and then, including families with children and grandchildren, ship them off to over 20 different nations using jumbo jets and ships (assuming these nations will take them in the first place) and of course, despite a guaranteed rainfall of injunctions from the federal courts aided by media and local church congregations.

You start by identifying individual illegals. You then deport the illegals, or at least put them in jail. If they skipped a deportation hearing, then they are a flight risk, and ineligible for bail. Keep them in jail (set up a tent city for illegals behind barbed wire).

If the illegal is a woman with an American-born child, put her in jail and put the child into foster care (NOT with the woman's relatives) with Americans who will raise the child as an English-speaking American.

If you deport somebody, deport them to the most southern end of their home country, so they will have a harder time getting here again.

Make being caught unpleasant enough, and people will self-deport en-mass.

Awwww!

I see that you may have missed Donald Trump’s interview with himself. Here is a link that may help shed some light on my response.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2DgwPG7mAA

But yes, the answer is “By doing it”.

And the reason that is the answer is because in asking “How does one identify, locate, detain (where and how?) and then, including families with children and grandchildren, ship them off to over 20 different nations using jumbo jets and ships (assuming these nations will take them in the first place) and of course, despite a guaranteed rainfall of injunctions from the federal courts aided by media and local church congregations.”, you paralyze yourself before you even start, and thus you have failed.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.

The deportation of 30-50 million illegal alien invaders begins with the first deportation.

It does not begin with 30-50 million deportations. Why? Because that is how you fail.

Why do people who oppose the deportation of the illegal alien army immediately propose an impossible scenario as soon as they start speaking?

Because their goal is to shut it down before it even gets out of the gate.

How do you walk a thousand miles at once!?

You don’t, and what a stupid question, right?

First, I agree with this premise, I also think that this is the most important issue facing America today. I tell people that there will be no capitalist economy to deregulate or a limited Constitutional Republic to defend if our country becomes a political and cultural annex of Mexico and Central America.

So my objection isn't to the fact that Trump doesn't make repealing affirmative action laws a focus of his campaign. I am bothered by the fact that he says that he has no objection to affirmative action in principle. He could have said that he opposes affirmative action, then moved on to the next topic. Instead, he chose to say that he doesn't even oppose it. It's one thing to pick your fights and not make secondary issues a priority, it's another to be on the wrong side on those issues.

The people who oppose amnesty for illegals generally also oppose affirmative action, so which of his supporters would he have alienated by speaking out on the subject?

It's been going on much longer than that, at least since the late 60's. And on issues like immigration and affirmative action, the Bushes are hardly any better than the Clintons.

Because he has never said anything indicating that he does. Because he has built his career in part on massive publicly-funded projects (just look at the golf course he just opened in NYC - hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars for a “public” golf course that isn’t really “public”). Because he has supported big-government things like the Kelo decision, and has used eminent domain for his own private use (or attempted to, anyway). Because he has made public statements praising single-payer universal health care in other countries.

Need I go on?

Great reply. If the people on here who bash Trump over every little thing think that Ted Cruz is going to do roll this back - they have another thought coming. So, if he came out and said we should do away with it - all he** would break loose. People are so politically ignorant it makes my head spin.

Trump said he’ll do it all in 2 years. Now do the numbers of how many deportees a day (over 16,000) that will have to be identified, located, processed, and detained while being housed and fed in government encampments, while court injunctions keep raining down. Pie-in-the-sky?
