In Reagan’s day, the MSM were liberal partisans but not active Democrat regime functionaries (journ-0-list).

I believe it requires different weapons and tactics.

What bills is he going to pass? What law is he going to pass? Has this guy had a stroke or something?

Reagan, you’re not Reagan.

Michael Reagan, the adopted son of Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman, is appalled that the FOUR governors in the race aren’t doing better?

Chris Christie? The RINO governor of New Jersey?

John Kasich....the uber RINO governor of Ohio?

Rick Perry? The open borders former governor of Texas, who has officially dropped out of the race?

Bobby Jindahl? The governor of Louisiana with a 30% approval rating in his state?

Michael Reagan is starting to sound more like Ron Jr. these days.

Different times call for different things. Trump isn’t a man for all times, but I think he’s the right man for right now.

Reagan only got elected when he actually fought back. When he played kissy face with the media and liberals he got skunked.

I think Regan would say, “Do what you have to, Mr. Trump, winning right now is all that matters.”

Ronald Reagan was around in a much different time.

We do know that Rove insisted on GHWB to be Reagan’s Veep for one reason only: to backstop the Reagan revolution!

The GOPe was only beginning to flex their anti-American muscles.

Sorry Michael, your Dad would approve of Trump, especially given the circumstances of today. In fact I bet he would leave the Party and register Independent.

Michael, you were gifted with a wonderful Dad. You are not him. He is not here to speak for himself, so give it a rest. Speak for yourself.

Michael I think your father would be appalled at what the Republican leadership has become. We need some big time change.

It's impossible to say what his father would say, think or do. The country is in pure free fall.

The 80s look positively pristine and innocent compared to today.

Michael Reagan: My Father Would Be Appalled at Trump

He's absolutely right.

However, those were different times.

Those were times that one party was pro-America, and the other party was teetering on the brink of anti-Americanism.

Now, both parties are firmly anti-American, and do all they can to destroy us.

If Reagan was faced with THIS time, HE might be as blunt as Trump.

No he would not. Ronald would have liked Trump a lot. Michael has sold his soul to the GOPe.

He says this while the pres and his GOP enablers take time out of tax funding tearing babies up to sell for parts in order to purchase a nuke for Iran while the house is on their third year of trying to get to the bottom of Benghazi but can’t get the then s of state to talk as she is too busy covering up what she did with ALL of the state secrets she had

People had better get a clue

We are getting behind one candidate and it will not be Jeb nor Carson not bobby kundalini nor Linsey graham, not Rubio and it will not be the wonderful but charisma challenged Cruz

So if michael Reagan can find someone with all of the leadership skills of trump without the uncouth mess no one is stopping him any more than Cruz is not stopping trump - because he’s in it to fix this country who doesn’t have time away from watching this gang purchasing nukes for our enemies to do so much as hang an American flag from the garage pole on sept 11

We need leadership and now. We’re done with these surrender monkeys (thx Ann coulter)

This is more meaningful coming from him, rather than Ron, Jr.

I think some, but not most, of this is valid but different times, different men. Ronald Reagan was not perfect though and the amnesty he granted illegal aliens then has led into the massive problems we have now. Further, had Reagan had a better, or even a real, succession, we could have avoided some of the low points of the last decades. If Trump wins the presidency, as looks probable now, I hope he is able to establish a better continuity. And I would expect the man behind The Apprentice to be good at training up leaders, going forward.

Reagan was similar but not the same as Goldwater. Trump is a skilled bomb thrower.
