“Trump does have a gender gap in support. Twenty-seven percent of men surveyed backed Trump while only 15 percent of women did. He also trails Carson among those who describe themselves as “very conservative. Trump runs about even with Walker and Cruz among the “very conservative.”
That is very good news for Trump. “very conservative” voters are not the largest majority. Which means Trump is deriving support from sum total of other groups such as “conservative, “mildly conservative” and “right of center”.
In any election, only thing which matter is who gets the most votes, not who voted from them.
