Seems like that to me!
Trump is the liberal democrat running as a republican.
When Bill Clinton ran we had a billionaire, Ross Perot help him to win the election. Next year, I think we will have another billionaire Trump run to help another Clinton, or to win himself and then cast aside the foolish conservatives who voted for him.
Agree, 100%.
You could always start your own website.
Then you could ban anyone you want to.
Circumstance do change. Eight years ago is a long time.
There's your answer.
Why can’t we all get along? (Rodney King)
Also, I don't remember "hundreds and hundreds" of Freepers being banned during the Rudy Giuliani run. Are you sure you are correct about that? I don't even remember much about the Giuliani campaign except it was a short lived train wreck. I think his strategy was to bypass the early primary contests and focus on making a good showing in the Florida primary.
Not that I can say I blamed him. Iowa and New Hampshire are bitter cold in January and February and Florida is a nice place to be in those months. But he had a poor showing in Florida and had to drop from the race.
As for Trump, I still can't figure out his hair. But he seems to be an ardent campaigner, in fact he was giving a speech in Iowa today for over an hour, without a teleprompter, and got some good crowds. This is months before the Iowa caucus. There is still a lot of corn growing out there. But this did not stop Trump from campaigning there, bad hair and all.
LOL
lol!
Dittos to you.
I don’t support Trump, but agree with his right to speak and am happy he is roughing up the Republican Establishment.
Its about time someone took on the GOPe, their anointed candidate Jeb Bush and his offensive line including the likes of Rick Perry, George Pataki, Lindsey Graham etc. etc. etc.
I ran against the GOPe as a candidate for public office once and my upfront, forthright presentation of tough issues forced the Establishment candidate to talk about those issues when he otherwise wouldn’t have.
;-)
You perhaps may not understand what’s really going on right now, a least for now. People are not judging Trump in isolation in the merits, the issues, right now. We are appreciating hat he is opening up the space for debate, which the GOP had sealed up airtight, and had no intention of going off-script-they will even cooperate with each other’s candidacies this far, in order to avoid having introduced, uncomfortable (for them) topics and issues. Trump has ruined that little “cooperation amngst colleagues” party for them. The media knew it too, knew that conservatives are suffocating for having our issues asked, and asked without having them framed in such a way that the answers we require must be addressed. I’m not explaining this well I hope you get my bottom line underneath all the verbiage.
Now, if Trump manages to blow the airtight little bubble wide-open (which isn’t a done deal, not yet, but he’s made some serious first cracks), and someone like Cruz can take advantage of the incoming oxygen (forced upon the media) to have to ask questions and receive and publish answers which address the concerns of conservatives, then we can begin to assess Trump differently. But eight now, he’s doing us (and the few real conservative candidates) a huge service by forcing the media, and the GOP, to acknowledge and address issues they want to ignore, and address them without their usual weaseling out of giving relevant answers.
I have been on FR for over eleven years and I believe Trump is doing a service to our cause. He has the money and the PR savvy to expose the GOPe and the cronyism with the immigration, large government, anti-traditional American lobbies. As long as he continues on that track I say support his efforts. Cruz is a real conservative and is fighting the good fight in the Senate doing the same.
Mighty “brave” of you to post this nonsense with a hit and run.
You posted this nonsense. Why don’t you hang around and join the
conversation on the thread you created instead of hiding.
IMHO, Trump’s hair started out as a bad comb over....that has become a trademark.
I’m still wondering how he got it to fit under a ball cap when he was at the border. :)
You. Always with the mangled genitals, you.
Yes he is.
He is not even a Republican. He was a registered Democrat from 2001-2009.
No, he is a conservative
He has given far more to Democrats than to Republicans.
He was trying to do business in a world that politicians set up.
For most of his life, he was strongly, and proudly pro-choice. IOW, he was OK with killing babies.
People are not allowed to change?
"He will NOT pledge to support the eventual Republican nominee, and will not promise to NOT run a third-party race."
Why would he when it is the republicans threatening him. Would you if you were in his shoes?
