FAIRFAX, Va. — Hillary Rodham Clinton on Friday night berated her Republican presidential rivals for protesting the Supreme Court’s decision legalizing gay marriage and for resisting stricter gun laws after the mass shooting in Charleston.
Reflecting on what she called “an emotional roller-coaster of a day,” Mrs. Clinton lauded the 5-4 decision recognizing gay marriage and renewed her calls for “common sense” gun control. But she saved her strongest words for criticizing the Republican contenders, who she said “seemed determined to lead us right back into the past” on those and other issues.
“Instead of trying to turn back the clock, they should be joining us in saying loudly and clearly saying no — no to discrimination, once and for all,” Mrs. Clinton said. “I am asking them, please, don’t make the rights, the hopes of any American into a political football for this 2016 campaign.”
Following the court’s decision Friday morning, several Republican presidential hopefuls, including Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, and Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, called for a constitutional amendment allowing states to define marriage as they wish....

Pardon my surliness. I said this a year ago that FR would be inundated with postings about this demon, and at that time, I asked: What is it we don’t know about this demon? We have followed her green tail since 1992. We know every investment, every insult, every lie, every charade, every facade for 23-23-23-23-23 years! Wouldn’t it be better for you, for us, for everybody, to pretend she is invisible? Yes, we all know she is running for president. Why must we read about and discuss someone whose every fart, every fang, every satanic thought, is as clear to us as is the 18 years of our children when they are still at home? What more can be learned by posting an article about what her MarxistProgressiveAlinskyiteFascistOligarchicCronyCapitalistic view on absolutely positively anything under the sun? Why can’t we say: BE GONE, SATAN! at least from FR.
Hillary Clinton had apposed SSM as little as two years ago.
That’s the nonsense that the Left tried with Sarah Palin around 2011. It doesn’t work. If Palin had wanted to run for president, she’d have caused an earthquake, with or without a few stories, more or less, being written about her.
The GOPe fools at RNC headquarters are giving this election to her.

That’s why she’s begging them not to make it a campaign issue. She doesn’t want people reminded of what she said in 2008.
