RUSH: Scott in Philadelphia. Great to have you on Open Line Friday, sir. Hello.
CALLER: It's an honor, Rush. I got a problem with all the... McConnell, Boehner, and Karl Rove. They've hijacked the party.
RUSH: Yeah. (sigh)
CALLER: I want to know why nobody says nothing about it. I mean, we elect these conservatives, they get in there, and then they're browbeaten into submission.
RUSH: Well, it's not that nobody says anything about it. I myself have been referencing this. Others I know have. I mean, I know people who are making this the focal point of their media presentations. I think what people... I was gonna say "people don't understand." I think people do understand it. The Republican Party establishment co-opted by the Chamber of Commerce, and the Chamber of Commerce appears to have been infiltrated by the left.
CALLER: Yes. But we keep electing conservatives in there and nothing gets done.
RUSH: Well, because --
CALLER: Everyone's just gonna give up.
RUSH: Yeah. So what you're really angry about here is that the conservative minority in the House is not actively trying to stop Boehner and McConnell. Is that your real complaint?
CALLER: Right. Get them two out and start a revolt. Get them two out of control.
RUSH: Well, what do you mean, "start a revolt"? You mean get rid of Boehner and McConnell from leadership?
CALLER: Yeah. They made a little attempt of it in the beginning when they made Boehner Speaker of the House. But I think they'd have gotten more votes than that to get rid of 'em.
RUSH: Well, no, I understand the desire. It's just that the way the rules in these institutions exist, it's really hard to get rid of these leaders -- and if you fail, you're done.
CALLER: I know.
RUSH: You don't get a committee. You don't get any reelection money. I'm not making excuses for it. I'm just trying to explain to you the way it is. But the Republican Party is not what you think it is anymore. The Republican Party establishment, the big donors: They want amnesty, for example. They want cheap... This is all about cheap labor. I hate saying it. I can't tell you how much I hate saying it. I just resent having to be honest about that. 'Cause it is not the Republican Party I thought I grew up with.

Yea. They say something about it and then come election day, tell us to vote the very people they bitch about in ‘no matter what’
BRILLIANT.
Still better than voting for Democrats, or not voting at all and letting them win, but not by much anymore...sadly
You’re under the illusion that such a lament is all they voice. Some light candles instead of sitting there cursing darkness all night long.
And the devil and his spokespeople would have you believe all you can do is powerlessly complain or cast “principle votes” that advance the agenda you hate the most.
Look at what it says at the top of the Constitution.
“We the People”
We all have skin in this game. And you don’t need to have a Constitution that talks about God to realize the country was founded by those who very much did. And who would be praying daily for its wise guidance, and even more so, their own wise guidance.
I remember 20 years ago when Rush used to ridicule callers who said that. Welcome to the party, better late than never.
Cardinals elected a Socialist as Pope! Christians are being murdered all over the planet and he's worried about AIR CONDITIONING!
And there are NO Leaders on our side with BALLS!
I’m under the lament that you are whizzing in the wind and it’s blowing in your direction. Not lament for you as you bring it on yourself. I enjoy seeing it. Lament for people you have deluded over the years.
The vitriol comes out... only to be your own whizzing in the headwind.
And I have deluded nobody by announcing a public gospel. It is you who have crept alongside with an idiosyncratic, fleshly message.
Folks, this is the second thread tonight Hitek has vented his spleen with me on. It’s a personal grudge. Gust so you know.
Yes, thank you for confessing that you have a grudge.
I further clarify that this grudge of yours is against any kind of effectual redeeming action on the part of the Lord.
You can’t stand this, you must just condemn and stand there smirking about how smart you are.
Hell is full of this kind of smarty pants.
Heaven is full of the wise. The wise accept the gracious gift of God.
Oh I do. But I’m not the one expressing it and playing preacher on a thread having nothing to do with your sermon.
If you are “accepting the gracious gift of God” how is it expressed in anything but a hope-bereft cynicism?
Ground that drinks in the rain but yields up thistles and thorns is close to a curse and in the end it is burned.
How is it “playing” anything but an honest man to state scriptural truths.
As big bidness thinks it is far sighted and is only seeking to get the best goods to the consumer at the lowest price possible, it is remarkable they are so oblivious as to what is going to happen when they do get that “cheap labor” - that Amnesty.
The very legitimization of these invaders, whether by legalization or citizenship, is what will turn that “cheap labor” into just another victim group, except now one with standing and rights. This act will spur automatic increased wages for them, rights to entitlements and resource support, rights to vote - anything a normal American citizen has. Expect class action lawsuits the day after Amnesty becomes fact.
In the end, just another victim group Democrats and RINOs have to pander to, just another group who will continue destroying this country, bit by bit.
Any time you put humanity in the seat that God deserves to have, you will get abuse that looks like this, if not even far worse.
No. It really isn't.
Normally people wouldn’t agree to work for a wage they couldn’t live on. The Chamber is counting on taxpayers making up the difference with food stamps, section 8, Medicaid, etc. That’s why there is no true free labor market, and why the GOP has no real interest in cutting those programs.
That is understood. But the Democrats and RINOs won’t be able to control any of the legal implications of what is about to happen. If they are legalized in any manner, citizenship is just one lawsuit away. It will happen.
I stopped voting for the worst of the republicans. I did hold my nose for Romney. But my state senator I left blank this past November. He was paramount in giving my state the draconian anti gun Safe act as pushed in a midnight session by Cuomo, right after the sandy hook murders . Then just a few weeks ago, the republican cabal crammed him into the senate majority leadership role.
I won’t vote for EVER.
