TPA, or similar a law, has existed for decades. The recent vote in the U.S. Senate was a renewal of the TPA, and Senator Ted Cruz, perhaps the foremost constitutional conservative in the Senate, supported it because it created a process in which the president could be held accountable. TPP was never voted on in the Senate or the House, and its language has not even been finalized.
My objection, at this point, to the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) is that it is secret, and only members of congress are permitted to read it. Ted Cruz has read it, and has issues not only with the secrecy, but on other points that he intends to address in the Senate. He especially wants to insist that any trade agreement with any of our Pacific partners under the TPP will get an up or down vote in congress within 60 days.
Trade in the Pacific has become crucial, because the un-named elephant in the room is communist China, who wants to dominate the region. Some sort of TPP must be passed; there is more than free trade at stake here, national security is tied to this....

You’re right and Congress approved of it.
Weren’t you the ignoramus that said Cruz should go back to Canada? Who would take his place then, genius? Please try thinking before posting...it would help.
So you’ve read the bill?
How do you know you don't like the bill? How do you know you won't like it? You don't and can't. Nobody knows what's in it, or else they aren't saying. Get it? And for a so-called Constitutionalist and republican (small r) to go along with the TPA/TPP/I'm for passage/but I'm against it shell came, it really is rank hypocrisy.
We can get rid of Cruz and pick a results oriented Senator in Texas.....we don’t need orators in Congress...we got rid of one with Obama.....we’re about to get rid of him again. Cruz is full of hot air but not much else.
Palin actually has not said she won’t run next year.
I haven’t heard one peep from her, to indicate she’ll enter the race. Nothing. She is completely silent.
However I keep hoping. I agree completely, she is non-corruptable, and nearly perfect as a nominee from my standpoint.
Good post. Hello Sarah, are you or does anyone you know, read this space?
I would support Palin 100%. Completely.
Maybe Trump could be her VP. Just saying. :D
Oh, if that were the only stupid thing he’s said on here, it’d be bad enough, but he’s a receptacle of ignorance and obdurate thoughts.
Put down on paper Governor Walker’s results and then next to it put down Senator Cruz’s results as Governor vs Senator......it would be a Governor Walker landslide to an embarrassing amount. Of course you guys would NEVER take that up because you know you would lose so badly.
I’ve been against fast track always, no matter who is president. We finally got rid of it and Cruz helped bring it back.
Oh, if that were the only stupid thing hes said on here, itd be bad enough, but hes a receptacle of ignorance and obdurate thoughts.
I agree with you on Senator Cruz above. Thanks for that.
LMAO.
Agreed. Sarah has a knack of being correct on every single issue.
I’m against Cruz on this issue, but blaming him for lack of results when he is one percent of half the legislative branch is like blaming the Spartans for losing at Thermopylae.
LOL...not much else. He has done nothing in the Senate, huh?
No filibusters, no amendments...he has a bad Conservative rating.
Again, you must have wanted Dewhurst.
No, he wanted the Democrat.
So, I just gave you 3 things that Walker did...and you still say he is better than Cruz?
So, I guess you like flip-floppers on Amnesty. You support the Patriot Act and you like TPP.
Gotcha.
She is on âleaveâ. Right, she won’t continue to carry their water or she can return at an even higher salary. Right. Get a grip, formal relationships do not effect informal ones. She is still Goldman and it is still her firm. Whether she has taken leave or not, the relationship is still there. She belongs to them and they belong to her. Their interests are her interests. Probably Senator Cruz as well. When Hillary was no longer officially with the Clinton Family Foundation, was she not still acting on the Foundation’s behalf and visa versa? QED
Ted Cruz is right to give Obama a blank check.
Plus, if this is right ACA- was right. Legislation must be passed BEFORE the public knows what it is.
No one is under any obligation to have decided who their candidate is as of now. Still about a year and a-half to go until election day. People are just discussing issues and it seems those who have decided on Cruz are constantly posting, basically the same old, same old Cruz and immigration and the fast track and trade debates.
People are commenting on what is posted. That's how it works.
