It’s just stupid all around then! They can say what they want. All it takes is a democrat majority and some spineless republicants and BAM! Veto override at a minimum.
You make a valid point. Any law can be vetoed or changed.
However I would prefer to have a president who has declared he is against raising taxes versus every democrat who live raising taxes. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz declared no new taxes last week. Marco was not going to sit idle and declare the same pledge.
