SAN DIEGO Mitt Romney's unexpected step into the 2016 presidential contest is drawing enthusiasm from the GOP's most passionate conservatives.
But not because they want him to win. For the first time in recent memory, prominent conservatives see a Republican presidential field that could have as much competition among the party's establishment-minded prospects like Romney as its fiery conservatives....

Exactly right. The reason we’ve gotten RINOS in the past is that there have been multiple real conservatives splitting our support. We need to focus on ONE candidate and promote him, and I think we can do no better this time around than Cruz. We really need to focus on supporting Cruz and let the RINOS split the establishment money and support among themselves. Let Romney run, the more RINOS the better.

For the first time in recent memory, prominent conservatives see a Republican presidential field that could have as much competition among the party's establishment-minded prospects like Romney as its fiery conservatives....Just name some of these prominent conservatives and I'll show you a RINO or a confused liberal (like the author of this bullsh*t). This statement is probably true to the extent his family members and friends are closet conservatives. Otherwise, I don't see a lot of conservatives rushing to support him as a viable candidate.
Mitt had his chance to be a conservative last time and he"screwed the pooch" with his less than "firery" response to the Benghazi question in his debate with Obama. I still get nauseated just thinking about it. The only thing he proved last time was that he is a loser...and we don't need losers mucking up the field of candidates.
With Cruz, Palen, Walker, and others to choose from he doesn't deserve another chance. Front runner my a$$.

There was talk a month or so ago that Lindsey Graham of SC was considering a run. He needs to be encouraged to get in the mix also. Turn the demons on the demons.

Bullcrap! No Conservative I know is cheering on Romney. Unless you consider, “If he is the nominee, I am staying home or writing in” cheering.

Will the RINO RAT Romney and Tokyo Rove steal all the
donated money? like last time?
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________
They won’t steal any money from Conservatives. People who give to them are NOT going to give to Conservatives anyhow. Any Conservative who does give to Romney or Rove, is an ignorant meat-head.

It's apparent that you did not understand what the article was saying. You are totally off-base in your comments. The author was saying that for the first time, in a long time, the RINOs will have competition in the Primaries, like the Conservatives have in the past, with only one RINO running. C'mon Man. We have the opportunity to change America for the better here. And the best choice the Republicans can offer is Bush III, Romney, and Cristie? Please tell me a real leader is coming from somewhere, anywhere.
The author of the article, nor anyone on here thus far, ever said that. Read the article before posting.

I have never seen so many incoherent comments on one thread in all my life. It would serve folks well to read the article, and stop drinking, before posting a comment.

Well, the strategies of 2008 and 2012 didn't work well at all. The same thing happened in 1988. Multiple Conservatives, like Jack Kemp, and one RINO, George H. W. Guess who got the nomination. Same scenario in 1996. Might as well try something different. We've not had a Conservative nominee in 30 years; not since Ronald Reagan's second run.

Read the article before you post. Nobody is asking a Conservative to cheer-on Romney.

It's apparent that you did not understand what the article was saying.OK, thanks for the heads up. It was early here and I had not had my first cup of coffee. Plus the mere mention of Romney does weird things to me. Sorry if you were offended. It was not my intention to offend you or anyone else other than to express my distaste for Romney and his RINO supporters.

Nah, bro. I wasn’t offended. Just wanted to make sure you understood the article. Don’t want you all stressed out early in the day.
