Rick Santorum: Electing an amateur in 2016 is unthinkable
The Washington Post's Right Turn Blog ^ | January 12, 2015 | Jennifer Rubin, Queen of the NeoCons

Rick Santorum may have his faults as a potential presidential contender, but he is dead right about Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.): “Do we really want someone with this little experience? And the only experience they have basically — not [Sen. Marco] Rubio, but Cruz and Paul because I don’t think Rubio is going to go — is bomb throwing? Do we really want somebody who’s a bomb thrower, with no track record of any accomplishments?”

Cruz may suffer from a lack of consistency, an erratic foreign policy and a grossly inappropriate temperament, but he does, to his credit, understand that we are engaged in a war for our civilization. Not Paul, however.

Just days after the streets of Paris ran with blood, Paul’s camp declares that he is going to New Hampshire to focus on guns and Common Core in the election. Really — that’s a presidential agenda? It is indicative of the negative and small-ball sort of issues that he focuses on, assuming that the base is so dim as to care most about these issues. As for guns, no one really imagines that the Second Amendment, which made it unscathed during six years of President Obama, is unscathed....

won’t back tea party challenge”

“Sen. Rand Paul says he’s staying out of the Senate runoff this month in Mississippi, where tea party favorite Chris McDaniel is favored against long-time Republican Sen. Thad Cochran in Mississippi.

“We’re not going to get involved” in the June 24 election, the Kentucky Republican, a tea party favorite himself who’s likely going to run for president in 2016, told a handful of reporters in the Capitol.”

From your post to me. Try to remember what you post from one moment to the next. LOL!

That tea party claim is more and more a media myth.

For example look at Freerepublic and Jim Robinson, as they mock Paul’s tea party claim, and support the tea party favorite Ted Cruz.

As Paul has moved farther left, and revealed his status as a pet of the establishment, and shown how flaky and pandering he is, he continues to slip as more people look closer at him.

I support Ted Cruz as well. I would not refuse to vote for Rand Paul. I will refuse to vote for Jeb or Chrispy. You should keep your powder dry for the real enemies of the party.

Paul is an enemy to conservatism, why do you think he is so despised here?

FURP! Rand Paul is randomly unreliable, ie, a liberaltarian squish.

From the CNN transcript.

BLITZER: So, just to be precise, if you believe life begins at conception, which I suspect you do believe that, you would have no exceptions for rape, incest, the life of the mother, is that right?

PAUL: Well, I think that once again puts things in too small of a box. What I would say is that there are thousands of exceptions. You know, I’m a physician and every individual case is going to be different, and everything is going to be particular to that individual case and what’s going on with that mother and the medical circumstances of that mother.

BLITZER: Well, it sounds like you believe in some exceptions.

PAUL: Well, there’s going to be, like I say, thousands of extraneous situations where the life of the mother is involved and other things that are involved.

So, I would say that each individual case would have to be addressed and even if there were eventually a change in the law, let’s say, the people came more to my way of thinking, it’s still be a lot of complicated things that the law may not ultimately be able to address in the early stages of pregnancy that would have to be part of what occurs between the physician and the woman and the family.

You just outed yourself as a brain dead paulbot when you go after FR, conservatism, and Reagan.

As you imply with your anti-FR/anti-conservative post, you would not vote for Reagan, but we would, we did, many of us served under him, and we still see love him, on the other hand, the greatest, most successful election the libertarians ever had, was trying to defeat Reagan in 1980.

“Last night, November 14, 2014, Bill Maher had Kentucky U.S. Senator Rand Paul on his HBO show “Real Time with Bill Maher” and many were shocked to hear Maher say he may help Paul with his 2016 run for President of the United States. Maher said last night, “I am available to the Rand Paul campaign.”
