Newly elected Rep. Mia Love (R-UT) has recently reaffirmed her support for repealing Obamacare on ABCs This Week with host Martha Raddatz.
When asked by Raddatz if she would stand by senators like Ted Cruz in their fight to do whatever possible to defund and dismantle Obamacare, Love responded:
Look, I was elected by my district to make sure we get the decision-making back in their hands and Ive said I was going to do everything I can to repeal and replace it with broad health-care reforms, free-market health-care reforms. And thats exactly what Im going to do.
Though it may not always seem popular to stand on the same platform as someone as politically polarizing as Sen. Ted Cruz, it seems that Rep. Mia Love is worried more about her principles than scoring political points.
Is she voting for Bonehead?
If so, she must not be serious about overturning Obamacare.
Doesn’t say.
I read somewhere that she is supporting Bonehead. We shall see.
Tomorrow's vote will provide a battle plan - defeat EVERY Representative who votes for the Bonehead.
I haven’t read anything from her, but a few comments saying she was sticking with Boner.
Agree. Tomorrow begins the primary season for many fake conservatives
This is why we “Love” Mia!
Hasn't yet been sworn in but has already been corrupted by Washington.
One term.
So you sent her there to support the status quo? We sent Jim Bridenstein to change things. He is leading the revolution against RINOs.
No source of these assertions, so I’ll call ‘em rumors. Let’s see how Ms. Love votes.
I didn’t vote for Mia Love as I don’t live in Colorado. Give her some time to get adjusted to the “Big Show”. She’ll come through with flying colors.
She is definitely NOT a RINO.
Mia is a Utah represenative.
If she votes for Bonehead, she supports all that Bonehead stands for. A RINO. Status Quo. Bend over to 0bama.
I will work hard to oust every one who votes for Bonehead. And support ONLY those who show they are a patriot tomorrow.
I think she is for Boehner. She has been defending Scalise, his henchman.
“...worried more about her principles than scoring political points.”
Who writes this crap. Her principles ARE her political points. I sent her a little bit of money a couple of times (I’m not in Utah) - but I would be REALLY pissed if she walked away from her campaign points. But even during her campaign she sounded like she would stick to her guns. (And yes, she is pro-gun and carries.)
The only thing I read was where Scalise said he had spoken to a white supremacist group 14(?) years ago, and had apologized - and Ms. Love said that he sounded humbled, and that he shouldn't lose his job over that.
That sounds like an appropriate response to me.
I hope that she votes against Boehner. We'll see.
politically polarizing as Sen. Ted Cruz,
No bias there!
I’m sure Elizabeth Warren never gets that adjective to describe her by this guy.
There is a difference - but a really broad brush covers a lot when it is stroked.
Can't figure out why so many here do a knee-jerk jump on the bandwagon when someone makes a spurious charge against one of the more conservative folks we have (Cruz/Lee/Walker/Paling/Love/etc). Seems like we have our own circular firing squads to ensure our wheels keep spinning to no effect other than to sling mud on our own side of the aisle.
