Michigan GOP U.S. Senate nominee Terri Lynn Land called for the federal government to secure the U.S. border with Mexico and slammed President Barack Obama for failing to properly deal with Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists during an editorial board event with local news outlet MLive.com on Monday.
Im a mom, I have two kids, and Ill tell you it hurts my heart with these children who have come across this border, Land said when asked about immigration reform and whether the U.S. government should allow illegal aliens to stay in the U.S.
President Obama has basically told them they could come here illegally, Land said of the children who illegally crossed the border as part of the border crisis. He needs to let them know that thats not the way it works here. We need to get these children back to their parents and we need to put as much resources and time [as necessary] into making sure that happens. Now if some of these children are here under refugee status theyre welcome to go through that process and we should make sure that happens, but we need to get these children back to their parents.
Land also called for the border to be secured.
I support securing the border, she said. I think its important that U.S. Border Patrol has the resources it needs for Border Patrol agents. We need to give them the highest tech equipment that they need in order to secure the border and we need to work on the fence at the border. So I think if we take all these things together we can have a secure border.

Oh, I am so biting my tongue, this wouldn't be the 1st time the E-GOP has...... Never mind I can't say anymore...
Because saying, "We're pulling out because we thing it's a lost cause" doesn't go over well. If there are buckets of outside money coming in then it would mean that Land still has a chance; nobody but nobody is going to invest big bucks in a futile attempt. If Land still had a chance then the NRSC wouldn't have pulled out. Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado are all races where the Republican has a real shot. I'd bet that the money is already on its way there.
CC, this maybe a blessing. She does not have to tote their Pro-Amnesty line. So look at the following that could happen...
* This was on Breitbart.
* Who reads that and mentions them on their show, Gallegher? No, Medved? No, Hugh Hewitt? No.
But Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin and Shawn Hannity and Maybe even Glenn Beck, Yes
* Will she show up on their shows and get a mini-money-bomb going? My guess is yes.
* Will they come and stump for her here? Well it has happened before and look what Laura did against Cantor.
* Would a certain 5 foot something Brunette from a really cold state come down and help as well? Oh in our wildest dreams :-).
After being dumped by the E-GOP, Terry Lynn maybe on the road to victory and to caucusing with Lee, Cruz, Paul and Rubio. Nothing like a woman scorned to prove a point...
“...If Land still had a chance then the NRSC wouldn’t have pulled out....”

Well, I don’t believe that. I believe they are going back into the mode they displayed in the recent Virginia election where they didn’t like it that their candidate was not selected to run but a conservative was instead. When that happened their support money and resources dried up leading to a narrow Republican loss.
I think now the NRSC is pissed off because conservative donations to them are beginning to dry up. If they think they are having fund raising problems NOW, they haven’t seen anything yet.
Lol
If that were true then they should be bailing on Cotton in Arkansas and Ernst in Iowa and I don't think that's true.

The thing that people outside the state never seem to get is that Michigan does exactly the opposite as expected. I remember being laughed at for saying Michigan would be a right to work state.
Thanks CC...
Yes MI can surprise, like the Coleman U of M vote about preferences that won by 58% to 42%. What galls me, is no one is willing to fight for us. How many here supported Scott Brown etc etc etc but this one is winnable IMHO, if Peter's is such a good candidate, then why does Moochelle have to come to Detwaa to drum up support for him unless Detwaa is so over her and her hubbie or are they sick of all things they and the DNC have done they have no enthusiasm to go to the polls again and continue to codify the definition of insanity.
