I think George W. Bush would agree.
As one who was there and heard those involved, I find this an insult to those who made the Movement a success, black and white. Almost all of the blacks of Mississippi who were involved at great risk would not agree with Ted.
Did not know that.
I had read her book that summer before 9-11.
Always thought of her as one of the Patriots. Ted - meh.
A non-celibate homosexual BY DEFINITION is engaging in specific lifestyle that, incidentally, is a Biblical sin. Any homosexual must DECLARE that he or she is homosexual, otherwise, in the course of normal events, no one would likely know the person was homosexual anymore than they would know if the person liked broccoli or butternut squash!
Since when is it "anti-gay" to oppose forced-by-government COOPERATION with a DECLARED LIFESTYLE? When the same "anti-gay" person would say, "It's none of my business" if a local baker bakes a cake for a pretend homosexual 'wedding' or if a local business owner decides to extend spousal benefits to homosexual employees -- just don't expect me to do the same." How is that "anti gay," exactly?
And Ted Olson is a Republican! A Republican who apparently believes that it is government's job to FORCE all Americans to accommodate pretend homosexual "marriage" as if it was the same as genuine marriage between man and woman!
WAY TOO MANY Republicans, from Romney to Olson to Cochran to McConnell, advocate the very things, such as using government to FORCE me to accommodate open homosexuals, that I've been voting Republican all of my adult life to PREVENT!
One more sign that the Republican party is in its death throes. I wish it wasn't, but if wishes were fishes, we'd have some fried.
I seriously doubt Barbara would have approved of Ted’s opinion!!!
If God found sodomy to be an abomination in Leviticus...chances are He feels the same way now.
Just saying...
Since you are a friend of Ted Olson’s can you tell us what is wrong with him?
The wrong Olson was on that plane on 9-11.
I don’t understand how any real conservative would ever marry a flaming liberal. Liberalism is founded on the rejection of both God & natural law.
“You know that your bodies are parts of the body of Christ. Shall I take a part of Christ’s body and make it part of the body of a prostitute? Impossible! Or perhaps you don’t know that the man who joins his body to a prostitute becomes physically one with her? The scripture says quite plainly, The two will become one body.
If I was a friend of yours how would you respond to someone’s question like yours?
It is easy to be judgmental when you are anonymous.
BUMP
It is really very simple: Olson is wrong; Cruz is right.
his wife was on the plane that crashed into the pentagon. She was a big time conservative and on many talk shows on TV and a beautiful woman...Ted has surprised me in his change with politics...
Ted Olsen should be more worried about the fact that GOD doesn’t like SODOMITES.
I know, hence the comment.
I liked her book and enjoyed her analysis on news programs.
I think the "change in politics" can be attributed to one's truth not being grounded in the One Truth of the Bible - without a benchmark you can be easily tossed about by the waves of "change" (and Hope and Change)....
“I think George W. Bush would agree.”
No doubt.
The heck with that ! How can we possibly discriminate against those who want to marry their dog, or their horse ?! They're in love ! Interspecies discrimination is just like miscegnation statutes !
I can only wonder when Ted is going to come out of the closet. He has truly become an odious character. Bob
I don’t care about how good a lawyer that Olson is. He is just another dirtbag. Bob
