Here We Go… Republican Jeff Flake Agrees with Jeb Bush: Illegal Immigration Is an “Act of Love”

What a disgrace.

Republican Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) said he agreed with former Governor Jeb Bush that illegal immigration can be considered an “act of love”. Flake posted the comments on Facebook Monday.

The Huffington Post reported:

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) on Monday agreed with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush that illegal immigration can be considered an “act of love.”

Flake, in a Facebook post, praised Bush for speaking “so humanely and unapologetically about the motivations” of undocumented immigrants in a Fox News appearance that aired earlier this month.

“Truth is, I agree with Jeb, and I applaud him for having the guts to say it,” Flake wrote in the post on Monday. “Growing up here in Arizona, I’ve seen what motivates those who come here illegally. Sure, some come with the intent to do harm or simply to take advantage of our generosity. But many come to find work to feed their families. To lump everyone who crosses the border illegally into the same class is unfair and unproductive.”

Flake asserted his support for a more secure border and called for immigration reform that takes into account U.S. economic needs and a “rational” solution for those already here without documentation.

Also today:

Former GOP Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert called for Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

Joining Hastert is Republican Jim Oberweis, the Illinois U.S. Senate candidate, who will face Democrat Richard Durbin in November.

Both of them will speak to the Illinois Business Immigration Coalition on Tuesday.

Re: “The GOP is missing an opportunity to close the border and so is everyone on here insisting that there should be no compromise on illegal immigration.”

I’m not worried about illegal immigration at the moment.

I’m worried about LEGAL immigration.

Since the Reagan Amnesty in 1986, we have LEGALLY imported 20 million new Socialist voters.

Flake is McCain Junior.

Fake is a Mormon from Mesa.

He grew up in an area where a huge fraction of the local economy is and always has been based on Mormons exploiting dirt cheap labor from illegal immigrants.

It’s been that way for over 100 years

Hey, Muslims flew into the Twin Towers as a sign of love for their own people (and hopefully to have sex with 72 virgins in the afterlife; I bet they are still waiting in line and wish someone would turn on the air conditioner)

Think I'll stop paying all my bills, including(and especially)taxes...an "act of love"...to provide more for my family.

Then I'll go to a So.Cal. home depot, round up a truckload of "undocumented love children" and take them to Bush, Pelosi, etc. "love" dwellings(their homes)and tell them "mi casa su casa".

<>Do not see an out at this point...<>

Well, our patriot ancestors had one of two choices, submit or revolt. They bequeathed to us a third option in Article V.

There is little time to either use it or lose it.

I am a bit shocked by the animosity shown here but understand. Either I am way out of touch about the feelings of the right or maybe some of you are going overboard...

While I agree with almost everything said, just how do you propose to change things..violence - never a good solution? Maybe that is the problem that I am facing.

Yes, the Republicans are simply another party of the fat cats just like the Democrats but what to do? A problem that is not political but more of a point about how the the country survives... That I agree.

Other than that, some of these comments are a bit over the line. Yes, the Republican Party is not that much different than the Democrats - it is a problem that is caused by those that want instead of those that produce. It is a problem but correctable in the long run.

I say that with hope but actually, the current situation leads me to believe that this is the downfall of our society and there if little that we can do about it.

We have one party that tries to use this as a political edge and when you can offer benefits (free money) to folks and get away with it, we are probably doomed anyway. The Republic was nice while it lasted...
