What a disgrace.
Republican Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) said he agreed with former Governor Jeb Bush that illegal immigration can be considered an act of love. Flake posted the comments on Facebook Monday.
The Huffington Post reported:
Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) on Monday agreed with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush that illegal immigration can be considered an act of love.
Flake, in a Facebook post, praised Bush for speaking so humanely and unapologetically about the motivations of undocumented immigrants in a Fox News appearance that aired earlier this month.
Truth is, I agree with Jeb, and I applaud him for having the guts to say it, Flake wrote in the post on Monday. Growing up here in Arizona, Ive seen what motivates those who come here illegally. Sure, some come with the intent to do harm or simply to take advantage of our generosity. But many come to find work to feed their families. To lump everyone who crosses the border illegally into the same class is unfair and unproductive.
Flake asserted his support for a more secure border and called for immigration reform that takes into account U.S. economic needs and a rational solution for those already here without documentation.
Hey our prisons are full of pedophiles who claim they did it as an “Act Of Love” too..perhaps Jeb and Jeff can demand they get released from jail too
Nothing here has to do with love for goodness sakes! It is all because the business base wants both cheap labor and in the case of specialty recruits, let them in.... I can understand the latter but we only hurt our own by the other.
Seems that the Republicans want open borders if it helps their friends in business but otherwise...no thanks.
We have a real problem here, the Democrats want the illegals for votes and the Republicans want them for business! The public loses either way...what a great choice.
Politicians on both sides such big time!
He is doing what McCain was doing 20 years ago, I have the impression he is working his way toward running for president, like McCain did.
Hey dont sweat it folks. He won. Isnt that whats really the most important?
So what if he sides with the Democrats. He won.
So what if we tank the economy and put more actual Americans on unemployment and welfare. He won.
so what if families collapse over it? He won.
Now be good little voters and get out there this November and elect more Republicans just like him no matter what. Because principle does not matter. Winning matters. Its a lesser evil.
Good rock ribbed conservatives right here on FR told me so.
Democrats and Republicans.....
2 sides of the same liberal coin.
To lump everyone who crosses the border illegally into the same class is unfair and unproductive. - flakey Flake.
Foreign criminal invaders one and all
Compromise?
With what? Liars and thieves who won’t keep up their end if the bargain?
Damn, I hate to say that you are right! We have no party that is not part of this debacle, therefore no one to vote for.
And the politicians wonder why they can’t get elected...geez.
Makes perfect sense. Compromise means each give up something right? Republicans give up their integrity and in return the dems give up the country.
What could be more fair than that?
Lol
“Hi, I’m from the government and I want to commit an act of love on you.”
GOP 2016 campaign slogan: “We love you long time”
and to the freeper that called me an idiot for saying Flake was a RINO. Go pound sand. :) I actually voted for the clown. Never again.
To which I say “Too beaucoup!”
Flake is McCain Junior.
Shamnesty is the death of the GOPe.
fta: ...called for immigration reform that takes into account U.S. economic needs...
******************************
U.S. economic needs necissitate JOBS for millions of unemployed American citizens!
And we dutifully vote every two years, expecting reform and restoration of freedom.
Sorry folks but this is just the Republicans siding with business regarding immigration. Get use to it, we have no party that actually stands for the people these days...
Exactly! Wonder why we even bother anymore! It matters little who is in charge, both are leading us down the primrose path. Do not see an out at this point...
