The 2014 midterm elections are right around the corner, and after endorsing 64 candidates in 2010, and contributing about $300,000 to candidates in 2012, Sarah Palin is once again trying to wield influence over another election cycle.
Just like in previous years, Palins picks get free publicity on her social media accounts, through appearances in their television ads and financial support from SarahPAC. Formed in 2009, SarahPAC is Palins political action committee, which is dedicated to building Americas future by supporting fresh ideas and candidates who share our vision for reform and innovation.
Here are 9 candidates Palin has chosen to endorse so far:
JONI ERNST: Its no secret why Iowa U.S. Senate candidate Joni Ernsts campaign video attracted attention. I grew up castrating hogs on an Iowa farm. So when I get to Washington, Ill know how to cut pork, Ernst says in the spot, adding: Washingtons full of big spenders. Lets make em squeal.
Ernst got an extra boost from Palin. On her Facebook page, Palin wrote: If Nebraskas Deb Fischer can see through the bull in Washington, then Iowas Joni Ernst can help her cut through the pork. Ernst reacted to Palins support saying: As our campaign builds energy toward a primary win in June, Sarah Palins roaring support will help me to victory, and as a result, make em squeal in Washington. Ernst is running in a crowded Republican primary field in the Hawkeye State.
KAREN HANDEL: Theres another crowded primary in Georgia where U.S. Senate candidate Karen Handel is running against fellow Republicans Jack Kingston, Paul Broun, Phil Gingrey, David Perdue and several others....

thats what I heard, she is in the senate, but like a lot of us here in Florida, there is just something about her, just like when we get negative vibes from candidates.also, have u seen any of her ads?she has no accomplishments to run on,her ads pretty much bash the other 2/3 candidates, yet you never hear of anything she has done that would make potential voters change their minds.Clawson being the tea-party choice(even Rand Paul endorses him)he will already get 40/38% of the vote and thats how he is polling,Lizbeth is in the 30% range, other 2 candidates are just hurting.and like I mentioned,i see Clawson signs all over Naples,I drive for a living,so far,I have seen only two lawn signs for Lizbeth.
;^)
Where did you get the idea that Rand Paul = Tea Party?
When Florida Senate districts were reconfigured in 2012, Benacquisto ran for re-election in the 30th District, which included parts of the old 27th District that she had represented, but was not where her home in Wellington was located. Regardless, she won her party’s nomination unopposed, and faced off against Democratic nominee Debbie Jordan in the general election. The Naples Daily News endorsed Benacquisto for re-election, praising her for the fact that she “sponsored the Andrew Widman Act to better track dangerous criminals and the Silver Alert Program to protect seniors astray.” [7] In the end, she was overwhelmingly re-elected, receiving 62% of the vote.
While serving in the Senate, Benacquisto voted for the controversial “parent trigger” legislation that would allow parents to turn failing public schools into charter schools, but, ultimately, the bill did not pass.[8] She also supported legislation that would exempt “certain manufacturing equipment from the state’s sales tax,” so as to potentially allow manufacturing companies to expand operations within the state.[9] Following the controversy regarding the Westboro Baptist Church’s decision to protest certain funerals, Benacquisto sponsored legislation that would make it a crime “to protest within 500 feet of a funeral,” noting, “We’ve seen these types of protests occur all across the country and it is very disappointing that folks would use the moment of grief to make a political statement. So we wanted to make a strong stand here in Florida and let everyone know that we were going to protect the time of burial and the time of grieving and the time for goodbye.”[10] Benacquisto was elected the Majority Leader of the Florida State Senate for the 2012-2014 legislative session. Recently, following the resignation of Lieutenant Governor of Florida Jennifer Carroll, she has been floated as a potential replacement.[11]

We have been lucky to visit southwest Florida on several occasions and know it is one of the warmest places in the country. The warmth comes not only from the sun, but also from the citizens. We met many dedicated patriots in Naples, Florida, on our recent book tour. They deserve better representation than what they have had recently. Lizbeth Benacquisto is the only proven conservative in the race. She served her constituents well and has never forgotten who put her in office the people. Lizbeth will take these values to Washington to fight for us all.
Lizbeth Benacquisto is a proven conservative with an unwavering commitment to the principles of our Founders and to the sanctity of life. In the Florida State Senate she has a record that demonstrates a willingness to take on special interests and rein in the scope of government. A fierce advocate for her constituents, Lizbeth has introduced and pushed through legislation to protect our senior citizens.
In particular, Lizbeths personal triumph over hardship and staunch defense of life is inspiring. In 2010, her opponent, to his detriment, tried to use her past against her; watch her inspiring response here: http://youtu.be/tODVWh6i_MM. We need this fighter and advocate for women and innocent life in Washington!
I admire and respect the good folks supporting other candidates in this race, but well have to disagree on this one. Lizbeth is running against a wealthy self-funded candidate with lots of splashy campaign ads claiming to be a conservative. Since when do conservatives stand for crony capitalism and government bailouts? Please do your homework, voters. Look beyond the fancy anonymous campaign ads. Look at a candidates record, not just their rhetoric. Lizbeth is a genuine conservative with a track record to prove it.

- Sarah Palin
I saw the Palin ad for Karen Handel today. I still prefer Paul Broun, but would rather have Handel than Kingston or Perdue.
Use the eraser on that board and change the total to $300 million. He spent $160 million on Mitt Romney.

That is $160 million on Mitt and I suspect $140 million to some offshore bank account.
I’m curious why you don’t like Perdue.
I don’t like his position on Dodd-Frank.
