Now she's just being annoying.

The influence a political wife has on her husband is huge, and it's always been pretty clear that Babs has no real ideological core. She has a few conservative instincts, she has some liberal ones. Too many Republicans in the ruling class are like her, unfortunately.

I've always thought the "kinder, gentler" crap went straight from her mouth to the rest of the world via George's microphone.

No you have lots of company. I have no idea why some have idealized this meddlesome woman. She is ill informed, rather strange, and her primary characteristic seems to be opinionated bullheadedness. Altogether an ordinary and mediocre excuse for a matriarch.

Nope! I have wished she would shut up for a long time--specifically since she trashed Palin for not being an elite Ivy Leaguer. I would bet she likes Obama better than Palin because he is Ivy.
