Azimov... they should have asked ray Bradbury....
Jennings was always a Class A jerk.
Do you remember his “temper tantrum” line after the 1994 elections?
And do you remember David Brinkley the night of the 96 election? Brinkley was retiring and commending his crew, George Will, Cokie Roberts, I think Jennings was there also (I think this was before Steffi joined, but maybe not). Brinkley was overgenerous in my view but give it to him, praising their hard work, etc., and he contrasted “President Clinton, who has not a creative bone in his body. He is a boor and will always be a boor.”
Ah, nice times, nice times.
Look how young Charles Krauthammer is.
Thanks for finding this.
Some good people and a lot of self-important pus-heads there.
Hard to believe this just the three networks and newspapers at that time that a conservative could win 49 states. We’ve gained so much in media and yet lost a lot of ground in elections. These smarmy jerks on ABC are not much better than the agenda-driven leftists today.
Yes he was! Peter Charles Archibald Ewart Jennings, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Every lefty was dead wrong. What’s new?
Bump for later.
"More god-damn NONSENSE!"
And the panel gently told Brinkley that the red light was on.
That was just priceless.
Imagine a reporter getting caught saying something like that about Obama?
Carl Sagan is getting a lot of fawning remembrances, so here’s a bookmark of him flunking political science.

“This administration will go down in history as one with an absolute callous disregard for fundamental American institutions, for the future of our children and our grandchildren, an administration that attempted to institutionalize greed as, uh, as the national ethos.”
