Appearing on FoxNews' "Your World with Neil Cavuto" Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell reiterated his support of the Tea Party movement. Let me make it clear," McConnell told Cavuto. "I'm a big fan of the tea party movement. I think it's been extremely important in helping us regain the House and do well in the Senate in 2010."
McConnell had sparked controversy at the end of the November when he seemed to suggest on a conference call with donors that the Tea Party were "bullies" that he planned to "punch...in the nose."
"There is one particular organization that I was talking about, which I think has been counterproductive, but I think the movement in general has been very positive," McConnell said on Tuesday. The Senate Conservative Fund, which was originally founded by former Sen. Jim DeMint, has been aggressive in opposing McConnell in next year's primary.......

[snip] The imminent expiration of the Emergency Unemployment Compensation program for 1.3 million Americans is mostly being treated as a fait accompli in Washington... (Dems have created an interactive map showing how many people in each state stand to lose benefits.)... This strategy includes placing Op ed pieces by Democrats in papers that serve the districts of top Republicans, such as this one by Rep. Sander Levin in the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, the largest paper in John Boehners home state. The game plan is granular: One Democrat points out to me that stats are available on how many would lose benefits on the county level, and that Dems are trying to push these numbers into the coverage, because it is tangible for people in local communities. [/snip]
Who exactly is going to buy this?
That's the money line, ain't it?
