Former Alaska governor and Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin took time out from her book tour to offer her thoughts on the 2016 presidential election.
Governor Chris Christie is considered the Republican frontrunner in some circles, but Palin isnt in his corner. She says the Party doesnt have to settle for any particular candidate.
Palin said in a Fox News interview, according to Politico, We certainly dont have to settle for any candidate that would go along with an agenda that stifles our economy and would strip any of our freedoms that are constitutionally protected.
Also, in an interview with CNNs Jake Tapper, Palin said that female politicians face more scrutiny than men, especially concerning their physical appearance. After Tapper mentioned comments about Christies appearance, Palin responded, according to Mediaite, Thats because its been extreme, okay. Its hard for some people not to comment on it.
Palin also was not happy with Christies criticism of the Tea Partys role in the government shutdown. She said, according to Today.com, When you stand in the middle of the road, youre going to get hit on both sides of the road. We need to take a stand and support those who are fulfilling their campaign promises. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, some of these guys were actually fulfilling their campaign promises and they ask for debate. They took the stand, and fought for us to debate the issue of Obamacare.
And Palin doesnt care for Christies position on gun control. Christie has signed some gun control laws, but refused to sign others. According to Politico, she said it was a little bit of a flirting with disaster when it comes to trying to win over constitutionalists, talking about some stripping of our Second Amendment rights. Thats going to be tough to overcome.
In an interview, Foxs Sean Hannity asked Palin whether Christies appearances with President Obama right after Hurricane Sandy hurt Mitt Romneys chances for the presidency. I think it was unnecessary to literally be embracing Barack Obama at the time of such national import when it came to that campaign season, she said, according to Fox News. "Any GOP member who would go that direction instead of standing strong on the planks in our platform, I question their commitment to the free markets and the freedom that's made America such an exceptional nation.
ADN.com reported that Palin began a tour promoting her new book "Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas," drawing more than 700 fans to a Barnes and Noble in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania.
And we might as well just roll over and die. I hate the choices we have been getting, but any choice would be better than the machine of destruction that wins when we get so discouraged that we can't hold our noses for the lesser of two evils. To do so ensures the greater evil prevails. We can try to influence the Primaries to get some good candidates - if that fails, I'm voting for the lesser evil. The Dims have taken little steps for decades to get where they're at - we seem to have some sense that we can turn it all around in one fell swoop - - - if only we ever had the perfect candidate to vote for. Nobody can convince me that a really crappy McCain - with a Palin to give us hope, would have been as bad as an Obama. Same goes for a Romney over Obama. Until we can go all-in for our candidate in the actual election, as the Dims always do, we are doomed to keep adding oil to the chute we are sliding down.
Question: just why on God's green earth would we choose the same that has lead to ruin the past 2 times out?
McRino was ‘loved’ by the Nat. Socialist Media - until it was too late.
The Nat. Socialist Media choose Romney for us - disaster again.
Why should we do this a third time???
Because “WE” don’t do the choosing.
Because “WE” don’t do the choosing.
Because he’s a human buffet barge/pie wagon/tub of LARD!!!?
I’m hefty myself but not that huge. You have to wonder what the stresses of Presidential office would do to someone as rotund as Governor Crisco.
One reason is enough, he is not conservative, not even close.
I agree with 2nddivisionvet. In fact I lived it. I will not vote for Christie for Pres.
I refuse to vote for Meehan, my congressional rep, because he has failed to hold anyone accountable despite being on Oversight and for his staunch defense of the congressional staffers stipend for ACA. I will vote for his primary challenger if he has one, and then the democrat to oust him if needed.
I have never done this, but after all those years of Specter & Republican Party fiascoes, feel I have to. The Republican Party lost my financial donations years ago...now they will loose my vote.
I am tired of following the Buckley law. It has gotten us a bloated, invasive, obnoxious, out of control govt.

#5, He’s an arrogant fat thug liberal who likes to hug Stalinist liberal Presidents.
“As far as Saddam Hussein being a great military strategist: He is neither a strategist, nor is he schooled in the operational art, nor is he a tactician, nor is he a general, nor is he a soldier. Other than that, he’s a great military man.”
—H. Norman Schwarzkopf, Jr., CENTCOM commander’s briefing, February 28, 1991
Yeah, it’s kind of like that.
I understand the sentiment - I only donate to individual candidates these days and am very selective. However, If we all refuse to vote for a flawed RINO, it will ensure that Odumbo is not the last of his kind and the year that ObamaCare went into effect will soon be looked upon as the good old days.
Some folks are fine with that and keep hoping that we will either get the miracle Repub or we go so far down the tubes that there is blood in the streets as the Left does some "housecleaning".
If we are to fight effectively, it has to be before the primaries to try to get some decent candidates to choose from and then stay behind the best of them - folks blame Romney for destroying the competition but he couldn't have done it without some complicity as we let the better candidates go down the drain. Many bought into the slurs against Cain and others and protested not as they slipped away - mainly because the bar of "The Perfect Conservative" was set so high that they didn't measure up enough to rally around.
There's complaining and there's "active apathy" and self immolation - our side seems to have moved to the apathy/immolation stage. When we submit that we will not vote for someone who is nominally on our side, it is akin to telling Afghanistan's terrorists that they have won because we won't stand in their way anymore.
Christie said illegals are not breaking the law.
Lou Dobbs On Chris Christie: This Man Is An Utter Embarrassment. January 12, 2009
The murders in Newark happened on the watch of every celebrity candidate in NJ.
I think it is a synonym for really really really fat
bump
You would need a substantial crane to support Chris Christie. Most people don’t own a substantial crane.
we can rent one from China
Not big enough.
