Former Alaska governor and Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin took time out from her book tour to offer her thoughts on the 2016 presidential election.
Governor Chris Christie is considered the Republican frontrunner in some circles, but Palin isnt in his corner. She says the Party doesnt have to settle for any particular candidate.
Palin said in a Fox News interview, according to Politico, We certainly dont have to settle for any candidate that would go along with an agenda that stifles our economy and would strip any of our freedoms that are constitutionally protected.
Also, in an interview with CNNs Jake Tapper, Palin said that female politicians face more scrutiny than men, especially concerning their physical appearance. After Tapper mentioned comments about Christies appearance, Palin responded, according to Mediaite, Thats because its been extreme, okay. Its hard for some people not to comment on it.
Palin also was not happy with Christies criticism of the Tea Partys role in the government shutdown. She said, according to Today.com, When you stand in the middle of the road, youre going to get hit on both sides of the road. We need to take a stand and support those who are fulfilling their campaign promises. Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, some of these guys were actually fulfilling their campaign promises and they ask for debate. They took the stand, and fought for us to debate the issue of Obamacare.
And Palin doesnt care for Christies position on gun control. Christie has signed some gun control laws, but refused to sign others. According to Politico, she said it was a little bit of a flirting with disaster when it comes to trying to win over constitutionalists, talking about some stripping of our Second Amendment rights. Thats going to be tough to overcome.
In an interview, Foxs Sean Hannity asked Palin whether Christies appearances with President Obama right after Hurricane Sandy hurt Mitt Romneys chances for the presidency. I think it was unnecessary to literally be embracing Barack Obama at the time of such national import when it came to that campaign season, she said, according to Fox News. "Any GOP member who would go that direction instead of standing strong on the planks in our platform, I question their commitment to the free markets and the freedom that's made America such an exceptional nation.
ADN.com reported that Palin began a tour promoting her new book "Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas," drawing more than 700 fans to a Barnes and Noble in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania.
Christie’s Obozo hug was all I needed to know.
Fat boy is a DemocRat.
OK Sarah closer than Christie to ideal? True.
Am I staying home if Christie is nominated? False
Will a 3rd party hurt more than help? True
Would Christie be Governor if he was pro 2nd Ammendment? Probably
So we should vote for either, but push them further right, whoever it is.
That might’ve worked on me in 1996, 2008 or 2012. I’m done with it.
Wait for it, someone will accuse her of sexism.
They already are, AP radio news was doing that yesterday afternoon. Look at what pundits have said about her and even her children. I think she should have said “Christie is a panty waist RINO who served as the model for Humpty Dumpty.”
We have a name for Silky pony, there’s got to be something that’ll stick to Krispy.
Stay Puff.
Not sure if that's dark humor or twisted humor. I'll have to sleep on it.
Seems the weight loss is stalling. Maybe Crispie needs to take up smoking crack and run for mayor somewhere in Canada. He appeals to nobody outside the northeast, the MSM, and RINO consultants and establishment Republicans.
In the movie, it’s Stay Puft.
You are correct. I erred on the side of spelling. I have to go get ready to go to work now. Later!
Because the idiot insulted her in name. Lost whatever bit of respect I had for the clown that day.
Christie is the typical NE Republican putz that’s too intelligent for a broad like Palin...
Go Sarah!
Ps I hope it sticks! Have a good day.
And then there are some who are to stupid to see through their lies....
I'll let you guess which group you are in.
I’m in the parking lot at work now. 40 mile commute works best if you leave early. I’ll go in at 7 CS. I could go in at 8 but 7 to 4 works best for me. I hope it sticks too.
