Pretty close in a democrat trending state.
Looking like Detroit might elect their first white mayor since the 1970s.

A real pity. Republicans turned out but a Libertarian sapped a lot of what would have been GOP votes.

Cuccinelli did extremely well. GOP elites didn’t give him any support.

Lovely....It is impossible to win when you have the dems, the repubs, and the press rooting for the other side.

The ringer libertarian took the election away from the Conservative Republican. We never learn. Still think a Conservative can win?

Dems financed a phony third party candidate, the GOP-e refused to support the candidate, while other RINOs go full-out anti-TEA party on Cooch. I say, given the circumstances, Cooch did OK. Dirty Dems at their best (or worst).

Democrat Terry McAuliffe, the
Clintoon grifting bagman, is projected to win the Virginia gubernatorial race, defeating Republican nominee Ken Cuccinelli in a
not surprisingly close victory.
Fixed it.

For some reason, I'd like to see the numbers.

Okay, but let’s see if they have the resources to throw this much money at every single Senate and House election next year.

forcing the GOP to consider whether a strong conservative candidate is the partys best pick to win a national election. They are implying that an "establishment" GOP candidate would have fared better than the tea party candidate.
However the "establishment GOP" candidate would have been a compromiser rather than a fighter. And probably with connections to the lobbyists and the, well, establishment.

Same as 2012. 7/10 of the counties vote Republican the other three, more populated vote Dim.
We have the same issue here in Assachusetts.
