I gotta part company with you, Miss P. Oberweis was a disaster and he all but handed a safe House seat (Hastert’s) to Democrat Bill Foster, and he destroyed a good man, Chris Lauzen, to do it. Lauzen would’ve easily beaten Foster. He’d also be 69 in 2015, and that’s too old to embark on a Senate career (not that he has a remote chance of beating Durbin).
Thats a lot of BS MR Field. Chris lauzen called me PERSONALLY! And cried about how I wrote a letter to the Daily Hearld Supporting Oberweis! GROWN MEN who are candidates ARE NOT SUPPOSSED TO CALL SINGLE WOMEN CRYING ABOUT A LETTER THE WOMAN WROTE SUPPORTING THE OTHER CANDIDATE!
That is CHILD’s Play. He is not a Grown up he is a MENTAL MIDGET!!
He is lucky I did not call the Press!!
Ugh! This flip flopping loser will NEVER win high office, he’s lucky to be a State Senator.
Funny how the man that compared pro-lifers to the Taliban is completely forgiven and now undeservedly beloved by certain fools and still pimped for higher office despite failing miserably in every attempt, smearing Chris Lauzen and getting his a$$ kicked by the rat Foster in his only general election appearance. This is a rich jerk who thinks he’s entitled to office and is willing to tell people whatever he thinks they want to hear, it’s remarkable how well that works. He takes a strong position against illegals and gets certain people to treat him like a damn folk hero despite the flip flopping, cronyism with RINOs like Hastert, and non existent ability to win.
Fieldmarshaldj, I agree with you about the 2008 congressional race. In Sept. 2007, I said, in freerepublic, “State Sen. Lauzen should be elected to Congress. After he wins, Oberweis should be appointed to Lauzen’s state senate seat.”
I think that Oberweis would be a great U.S. senator, but, since he started his current job nine months ago, I hope that he’ll keep that seat for at least four years. If Sen. Oberweis thinks that Sen. Mark Kirk is too liberal, Oberweis should run against Kirk, in the 2016 primary.
