According to Mr. Cornyn, there was no way to vote on defunding Obamacare unless there was cloture. If the Repubs had held firm against cloture, would it not have forced Mr. Reed to address the issue by other procedural rules? I want to respond but need your help in composing a reply. Thanks!

Thank him for his form letter response and advise you will consider supporting any real conservative challenger he may have in the future.

Let’s draft Louie Gohmert to run against him.

"Because of procedural rules in the Senate, the only way for Senators to vote yes or no on defunding Obamacare was to vote for cloture, thereby allowing a simple majority vote to defund Obamacare."LIAR! SCUM!
The Republicans didn't have the votes to defund Obamacare in the Senate, and that lying weasel Cornyn KNOWS it.

Tell old Cornball his platitudes aren’t working with you. Tell Cornhole he cannot have his cake and eat it, too. Tell Cornwad he could’ve sent a tough message to Dingy Reid by voting NO on cloture - instead, Cornball and the other cowards gave Dingy the necessary 60 votes to cut off debate. He cowered with other elitists in Ted Cruz’ and Mike Lee’s shadows - and that Texans will do EVERYTHING we can to send him packing his DC bags, for good.

Dear Mr. Cornyn,
If you guys don’t stop this it will probably be the end of the Republican party.

Tell that lying weasel that he knew perfectly well what the result of the vote would be before voting for cloture. They were positive that it wouldn't pass. That's why cloture was big deal. The lying scum wanted it both ways....he wanted to be on record to vote against funding Obamacare even though he knew darn well that the vote had no chance of passing.
To: PuzzledInTX
I received the same letter. I told him I would vote against him in the primary and if he is in the General Election I would vote Democrat. Whatever it takes to get him out of office, because clearly he has been there too long.

Wimpy did the same thing that linda Graham did. Voted FOR cloture, then against the bill, then crowed how he voted to defund nobamacare. Lying wimp!

Well, let me know because I received the exact same letter! It got me thinking because I wrote to Cornyn before the cloture vote and wrote him afterward telling him that I held him responsible for voting that way.
To: PuzzledInTX
I have to say at least his response was on subject. I’ve written him three times in the past. Two responses had nothing to do with the subject of my letter. The third got no response at all.
