Two Republicans came to Washington as United States Senators. Both were immediately haled as being the future of the Party. Both were young, charismatic and claimed they were devoted to the conservative cause. Both have been talked about as potential Presidential candidates.
The problem is, only one of them is a conservative.
One is Ted Cruz and the other is Marco Rubio.
Ted Cruz burst on to the scene last year in Texas, defeating a RINO Establishment candidate. He has quickly become a superstar. He has stood steadfastly against Amnesty. Yesterday, after the Supreme Court ruled that states could not ask about citizenship as a part of voter registration, Cruz vowed to introduce an amendment to the Amnesty bill that would allow states to do just that.
Cruz has come out demanding that there be a sixty-vote requirement in the Senate before the debt ceiling is raised. James Carville, the long time Democrat Campaign Consultant, called Cruz the most fearless Republican he has seen in the last thirty years.
Marco Rubio rode the Tea Party wave of 2010 into office. Like Ted Cruz, he faced a RINO Establishment candidate in the form of former Florida Governor Charlie Crist. Crist is a liberal who as governor supported President Obamas stimulus bill. Rubio ran as a conservative, eventually forcing Crist to drop out of the Republican Primary and run as an independent. Crist lost badly and is now a Democrat.
Unfortunately, Marco Rubio might as well be....

I bet they were hailed too....
The article pretty well nails the situation with the two Senators.
Glad Cruz is my senator. If he can’t be president, I hope he becomes Chief Justice- SCOTUS someday.
Yeah, in the era of speelcheck that’s a bit off-putting.
Error.
It was a tale of one Republican and one sleazy RINO.
Just today I was thinking about Cruz on the Supreme Court.
Will trade with Texas: Sen Rubio, plus Gov Rick Scott, AG Pam Bondi, and a “politician to be named later”...for Ted Cruz to come to Florida
Lets get this done before trade deadline
Nails it.
Cruz is the flame that will set the grassroots on fire for the midterms. He has rapidly becomw the most feared Republican the left has seen for decades who is actually in office and ain’t going nowhere no time soon. He out-Gingriches the old Gingrich and that is saying something.
Cruz,Gowdy, Paul,Palin and West are the cornerstone of what has to save our country
Rubio is trying to position himself as the GOP-e candidate for President.
And he’s too dumb to know he’s merely a stalking-horse for Jeb Bush.
Hit the nail right on the head. Rubio is begging for a primary challenger and he should get one for his RINO backstabbing.
Better as POTUS. He is as eligible as Obama ever was, and he can do much more good as POTUS for eight years, followed by a lifetime stint on SCOTUS.
We desperately need a HARD RIGHT POTUS! HARD RIGHT, fearless, Conservative!
Chris Christy - “Hey! That’s my job!”
Jeb Bush - “No! I’m the only candidate who can win!”
Amen to that.
A: A Snickers bar has nuts.
We desperately need a HARD RIGHT POTUS! HARD RIGHT, fearless, Conservative!
I would be happy for one that honored and followed the Constitution.
Lately I find i’m shutting off my TV just as fast when Rubio comes on as I do when Obama comes on. In my world Rubio is nothing more than a lying DIRT BAG!
