Sarah Palin Says Feds Are Stockpiling Bullets For Civil Unrest
Market Daily News ^ | February 28, 2013 | Paul Joseph Watson

Posted on 02/28/2013 11:44:09 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin has warned that the federal government is “stockpiling bullets” in preparation for “civil unrest,” adding that America is “finished” if it cannot deal with its debt problem.

Writing on her official Facebook page, Palin remarked, “If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.”

The post achieved nearly 12,000 ‘shares,’ attracting nearly 60,000 ‘likes’ and over 4500 comments.

The Department of Homeland Security has committed to purchasing around 2 billion bullets over the course of the last year, in addition to buying 7,000 fully automatic assault rifles last September (the agency referred to them as “personal defense weapons”).

Although the mainstream media has played down the purchases as the feds merely saving money by buying in bulk, the ammo buys have contributed to shortages across the country.

However, concerns were further stoked last week when Law Enforcement Targets Inc, a DHS contractor that supplies shooting targets to the agency along with thousands of police departments, was forced to apologize for producing “non-traditional threat” targets which featured images of pregnant women, children and elderly gun owners in residential settings.

Politico published an article following Palin’s Facebook post bizarrely claiming that her concerns about the federal government purchasing ammo in large quantities had been debunked despite admitting that “government agencies are, in fact, purchasing large amounts of ammunition.” This tactic of admitting that the government is purchasing a huge number of bullets while simultaneously portraying anyone concerned about the fact as erroneous and paranoid has been adopted by other mainstream media outlets....

I do appreciate your point, but the fact is a soldier and a LEO are two very different animals.

A soldier is effective because he works in an organized unit, and relies on that organization and mass of fire to a much greater degree than an individual LEO regularly working alone or in small groups.

A LEO would be more akin to a gladiator than a hoplite. I don’t mean to imply any pluses or minuses to either with this analogy. They are simply different tools for different jobs.

Extremely lame, for those of us who have been professionals.

To what are you taking exception?

I'm not particularly worried about convincing you of the soundness of using a standard load. That is simply a fact.

Do you have any reason to believe these agencies were training with cheaper ammo in times past?

I haven’t been following this issue closely, but I haven’t noticed that the amounts have been explained away.

As you say, you haven't followed this issue closely.

Supposedly, the size of this purchase is over a five year contract, and is simply to lock in prices at the current level.

Not particularly sinister, though one never knows when dealing with government.

What???, You think using BB guns for shooting from the waist and various positions, at targets smaller than a pack of cigarettes, or using adapters to use 22 ammo, or using shooting simulators indoors, is based on practicing mass fire instead of close up accuracy by the individual, shooting at another individual?

These people are Gladiators? How many of them even leave the office?

Obama serves Allah. A ruthless, keen and patient foe. Study history:

]anissaries were recruited almost exclusİvely from ex-Christian converts, and so it is interesting that the Bektaşis should have adopted so many Christian attitudes and rituals.

Obama and his heirs will continue his campaign of class warfare. A modern American janissaries is under construction. A force to eradicate all remnant domestic threats. Over the next three decades, Islam will emerge dominant over a remnant society under dhimmitude.

Evidently you don’t know any more than I do, you keep repeating the same non-explanation that we have been reading for months.

It is vague and doesn’t answer any of the follow up questions.

Is this a routine purchase, a purchase of this size is normal and just a repeat of past orders?

Look at actions. The truth, plain and simple. It is not a puzzle.

No, I think that level of marksmanship is not strictly required for a soldier to be effective. Nor do I believe all LEOs are capable of equivalent performance.

I do believe concept and practical performance are often at variance, though performance, good or bad, does not disprove the existence of the concept.

Gee, it was basic training, so it was pretty common at the time, the army seemed to think it would be useful and they chose BB guns for the target practice.

Law enforcement can be done by anyone, even fat old grandmas, and I don't know why you think all those bullets are being used by some super cops who work in out in the field.

It is clear that you don't know anything useful about this thread topic.

Just as it is clear your "follow-up questions" and criticism of my responses are nothing more than a rhetorical affectation.

These Fabian Fascist KNOW WHAT GOOD A HANDGUN (or a rifle and large ammo magazines) CAN DO AGAINST AN ARMY !
That's WHY they don't want US to have them !

The United States Citizens KNOW that they're going to have to fight TYRANTS in their own government.
You cannot protect life, without the ability to take life.

While you are WAITING for the police to respond, someone could be losing their life.
All people of a responsible age should be armed.

As EternalVigilance reminded us:

Click here to read the 12 page pamphlet.

Let us NEVER FORGET THAT !

Let's subjugate them to OUR end game, DUST!
"COMPROMISE" is a DIRTY word!
People who study the Bible know that COMPROMISE almost always leads to destruction.

It's time to mock the "Gun Control" Zombies!
"Gun Control" is a firm grip, steady breathing, accurate aim (developed by lots of practice), and a slow trigger pull.

The Swiss have got it CORRECT !
We need to learn from the Swiss and implement their "gun control measures" here in the United States right now, today!
These laws are the ones we should shove into the "2nd Amendment Haters" faces.

The Swiss have got it CORRECT !
Let's adopt THEIR LAWS !

Remember: Read Second Amendment: It’s Not About Hunting, IT'S ABOUT TYRANNY .#39;s adopt THEIR LAWS !

My son and two of my nephews work for agencies within DHS. Neither of them use hollow-points when they go to the range. Two of the three have been told that they may be required to shift their day-to-day responsibilities in the event of civil unrest. That’s a fact, Jack.

No it's not a fact Jack. Either your son and your nephews don't work for DHS or they are lying to you.

‘Have you ever lived through civil unrest in America, seen many thousands of paratroopers and marines at the ready guarding choke points and bridges, been sent to a detainment center without food or beds, held with many thousands and thousands of other people?’

You might ask a native of Japan that question...
